I have eight pinball machines currently--all fairly recent releases, including six new Sterns--and I think this may be my favorite game to play. The shots are so smooth and satisfying. This is definitely not a stop-and-start machine, and you can really build the flow as you play. Most of the shots are to the back of the playfield, and there is something really fun about making those nice long fast shots, instead of constantly banging into stuff a few inches from your flippers. There are no cheap drains on this game, which is refreshing.

I just installed the newest code (1.00.0), and I can't see much change from the 0.99 version. The little trailers that follow each player's final ball drain are actually sorta annoying.

I have heard the opti-sensor on the back door shot was glitchy at first, but everything has been perfect for me from day one. I believe my machine was from a later production run, so maybe the moral of the story is to wait to buy until they get the bugs out of the first run tables. (Sorta like avoiding buying the first model year of a vehicle after any major redesign, maybe?)

I was never a huge Elvira fan when she was hosting the crappy B-run horror movies on late night TV. But the actress behind Elvira, Cassandra Peterson, was a VERY fine-looking woman in her prime, and she is holding up amazingly well today at age 69 (at this writing). There is probably a joke to be made here (69?), but decorum prevents me from taking the low road in this review.

This is a great pinball game. Impossible not to enjoy playing it.

I own this pin and it is great fun, but top 10...? Maybe #11. The use of old movie clips is clever. The brain that would not die..., “He’s coming for you Barbara!” Great lines. This pin is not as clever as Scared Stiff, but still it’s a keeper.

This is the best pin I've played. An absolute must have for any collection. Great theme, funny, witty. Great depth.

If you like stacking modes, a kooky theme, shots that shoot like butter, then Elvira3 is the ticket! If you liked Scared Stiff then you still get the hand of fate spinning wheel and the trunk to lock balls. If you liked TAF then you have many rooms to explore and complete - some even under lock and key! If you wanted a bash toy then you got it! If you liked getting a wizard mode similar to WH20 Wet Willie's then you got Gappa Angry. And of course the house that can redirect the ball in any which way. This game is basically a best of hits of games past. How many other games have there been 2 pins of the same name before it? Only downside is the limited production. Will they make more? Only time will tell.

Really well done. Hard at first with sdtm drains. But once you play a few times, learn the angles, shots and nudges it really becomes a complete game. And quickly. The ruleset is deep but simple to understand. Can walk up and start playing and know where to score and aim and hit. The house is well done with all the entrances. The back door I find hilarious. Ball lock is a great shot. The front door is challenging but not impossible. The crypt is a much tighter shot but definitely makeable and fun. Plenty of different mulitballs and not overly complicated or challenging to get.

Really fun game. I'll spend time on it whenever I see it. Do yourself a favor and put 20 mins on it if you get the chance.

Such a fun shooting pin. Shots are fairly easy which makes me keep coming back for more. And lots of multiballs which are always fun. I think this game is right up there with IM and DP for best all around fun to play. I don't know anything about Elvira, it was a bit before my time, but I would still recommend this title to anyone.

Fun game. Would recommend a larger collection as the shots are not hard. However, the code is deep with fun sounds and things to see on the display.

This game is ok and all. But is not top 10. It looks good, art is good. So is lighting. But the Elvira talking before each mode is annoying. The layout is 2nd grade basic. Surprised how high rated this is. Toys are ok at best. The house could have been so much more.

What an awesome game!! I've updated my initial rating twice now as new codes make the game better and better. A keeper in our house

Love this game. Best open Fan Layout game. Humor, style and deep but easy to understand ruleset makes this game perfect.

My first impression had been: what a (simple) standard-fan layout; does it really make fun?
Then I started to play... what a blast. So many things to shoot! So many Multiballs (I like Multiballs ;-)).
The House is a dream; so we'll done and integrated into the Gameplay. Code is fantastic (V0.99).
Music is sooo nice combined with lightning effects this pinball creates a perfect Elvira atmosphere; and the Callouts make me smile every time. Well done Stern!

This game ticks all the boxes for me. Great theme/ rules & code, Nice art package, great call outs and animation. Always something new to see even after hours of playing. Really fun to try out different strategies on this pin. There’s a lot going on here and it’s one of the best modern pins available.

This game is addictive and fun. I love the way it feels overall. The shots flow beautifully and the theme is integrated very well. The only thing that doesn't wow me is the backglass art, but that's not very important to me. I left wanting to play more!

This is a super fun game. The rule set is deep and the code updates make it a lot of fun. Not even to code 1.0 and it is great.
Do not like some of the hangups in the game. The gravestone gets the ball hungup on slow shots, also the plastic ramp on the shooters lane can catch a ball to start the game and hang it up.

Love this game, I do not know much about elvira, but I love that she owns her own silliness and turns it into something super fun.

I've owned over 30 pins in my life time and have played well over 100 pins -- Elvira House of Horrors is the best pin I've ever played and own. It is dynamic, full of fun things to do, lots of plays and deep rules and the code is not even finished. Because of the theme there is an innumerable availability of mods to add. It is a pin one wants to go back for more. I've played it for hours and routinely I see something new. If you are to own only one pin, Elvira House of Horrors would be the only pin to have.

This game is gorgeous! On top of that, it's fun, fast, easy to figure out and a challenge to shoot. I wouldn't change a thing about this game.

This game is so much fun to play. I highly recommend purchasing this game! The rules are great, that music and call outs are awesome the game has really good flow and lots of moving parts. If you really enjoyed Scared stiff, then you are going to love this game and appreciate how much deeper the code is. Great job stern!

Great fan layout! Code just keeps getting better, loving the callouts and animations. Big plus the wife loves the game! Dodged a bullet there. :)

Great integration of theme, love the custom call outs and the use of B movie clips. Lyman is already crushing it on code!

Stern really nailed it with this on in my opinion. The animations are absolutely amazing. I played this at Houston arcade expo and really had a blast with this pin. There are a lot of shots which I really and the callouts are spectacular.

First couple plays I thought...mehh. Well after quite a few plays I have become quite fond of this game. The simple layout shoots like butter. I love the fact that I (being an OK player) can be guaranteed to make some sort of shot off the flipper without bricking. The code is great (currently playing .95). Can’t wait to see how Lyman works his magic on this one. This game is down right FUN!

My first impression at Expo in October was, great haunted house toy, decent fan layout, good artwork loyal to Elvira and shallow code. I liked JP2 better at that point. I’ve owned them both now, and I now prefer EHoH. The code is fantastic. The rules are quite deep and there is a lot of B movie content and original video and callouts by Elvira. The house features 4 entrances, including the shot under the porch ramp (which needs to be rewarded more in future code) along with 2 ramps, 2 orbits, and a sneaky side-entry into the trunk. I’m impressed so far, and we are only at .95. I love SS, and I play mine a lot. But I’m very pleasantly surprised by this latest installment.

I played a lot on it, and this is a very cool game that always makes you want to come back to it.
A special mention for the castle which is very pleasant to see and play, as well as the callouts
i recommend it, you have to play it
