This is my first pin and I love it. One of our favorite movies growing up. This pin falls into the "most bang for your buck" category. It will always have a place in my collection.

I played this game for years and it was always one of my favorites. I like the wide body games and there is a lot to do in this game. Another I would like to add to my collection someday.

The flow of this game is great. The sounds and dmd are weak, but disabling the claw makes this a great game.

I think this is the most underrated DMD game of all time. I sold my really nice one and missed it straight away so ended up getting another. This game has major flow! The combos are very satisfying. 4 main multiball modes and a couple of nice mini wizard modes too. Best bang for your buck game out there.

Bad points are the left side of the game is somewhat wasted and the artwork on the translite and cabinet is pretty bad! But overall a very fun game. I can play it for hours.

This pin is a must have for any science fiction collector of that genre. Definitely LED this machine it makes it way more appealing and futuristic. The only week point of this machine is the cabinet artwork...half clothed stallone..really? Out of all the other action sequences they choose that as a background..anyway this game plays awesome! The ramp shots the car crash, floating eyeball, and the cyro-claw yes...own it if you can find one. It is the only pin to have raised flippers that make it very distinct and entice a novice to want to play it! The music is aggressive and the sound effects rock especially amplified, in my opinion this pin will be on the all time collector list. Yes, it's that good minus the cabinet, definitely play it and see for yourself!

Demolition Man is one of the better "bang for the buck" WPC games available. It always sells cheap, but there is a lot to like about this game. It is combo heavy and rewards constant flow/on the fly shooting, it has a variety of modes, and what can effectively be considered two solid mini-wizard modes (Demolition Time and Cryo Prison Multiball). The biggest downfall to the game is the lack of worthwhile objects on the left side of the playfield--the biggest problem being the cars. These are really cool toys, but the payoff for hitting them is nearly non-existent so there's no reason to shoot for them. Likewise, the Retina Scan shot is nice, but the payoff is too little to be worth aiming for. The game would have been even better with a full left orbit in place of the cars. Shot-wise asides from that though, the game is nice. Two main ramps that feel nice to hit (left and right), and an upper flipper with two of its own shots (a very satisfying "Computer" scoop, and a very hard to hit upper ramp). The left inner loop shot to start multiball is tough to hit yet satisfying, and right orbit to upper flipper combos feel great. The center mini-ramp is excellent as well.

Art-wise the game is only so-so. Cabinet and backglass-wise I feel the same. Sound-wise the music is hollow, but that could just be the machine I currently have access to. The music is interesting and while maybe not catchy immediately, it grew on me. The callouts are fun as well and are ripped straight from the film. Speaking of which, this game does a nice job of working in the license.

I appreciate that you can set this game up to play in two different styles--with the claw enabled, or with it disabled. This significantly changes how you can approach the game. If you have the claw enabled, it's fun to try to play the same modes over and over to see how high you can get the mode values to build (they become worth more and more each time you re-enter them). If you have the claw disabled, you really have to pay attention to what you are shooting at in order to score high. The gun triggers add another nice element to the game and can be a major payoff score-wise if you do things right.

Overall, Demolition Man is a great WPC game and is often times overlooked I think because of its price. It is definitely worth playing (or owning) given how cheap it is to acquire one. Give it a try if you see it, or give it a buy if you're looking to add another game to your collection.

This game is ramp mania. There are a lot of layers and more ramps than you know what to do with. This game is packed with things to shoot for. It's themed really well, and a fun game.

Depending on how good you are, it can also be a very long playing game.

One downside is the goofy looking backglass that contrasts with the game a bit, but there is a story about how that came to be.

I really enjoyed this game when it came out in 1994, played it a lot on location, I still enjoy it today. It has a unique feel.

This is a high quality Williams machine through and through. The special effects and number of shots available are amazing. Wide body machines typically don't play as fast as this one. This machine gets compared to Judge Dredd a lot due to the sci fi nature of their themes and I believe it is fair to say they both have deep rule sets, lots of play field options, and great sound ( oh , and Sly was in both I suppose LoL). The one complaint that the claw slows game play is true IMO . DM also suffers a bit due to weak pf art and an average backglass pic. However, I have yet to play a game up on the backglass....so I don't get the overall "art" bashiing this game receives . This is probably one of the more entertaining pins you can buy for the money. I sold mine FWIW.

Terrible artwork make this machine an instant turn-off (like High Speed or Flash). Once you get to play you find that this is actually an incredibly fun machine to play on (like High Speed and Flash). Nice game flow, target rich environment and the control handle make for an overall fun pinball experience. Despite the awful artwork it was a blast to play.

Under-rated machine with great value to be had. Artwork is not great, although personally I don't mind the cabinet art - it's the backboard that lets this one down. Otherwise I love it - but it MUST have snappy flippers to be appreciated. If I was to find a flaw it's the car toy - would prefer this as another ramp or loop. Great game, love the use of "Send a maniac to catch a maniac" - fits perfectly.

Edit. In April 2015 FINALLY found a great example to add to my collection. Having the game at home I wanted to make sure my rating was spot-on. It was very close - but thus fame us fantastic, & with leds throughout I have upped both lighting & sounds a tad - they are terrific, especially for a machine that's now more than two decades old. Just awesome!

I picked up a Demolition Man from a guy’s pole barn/hunting lodge. Needless to say, it was filthy. I started shopping it out; and holy ramps!! This network of interconnected ramps and wire forms makes it very tedious to clean. Once it was done, they became the coolest part about the game. It’s a very fast playing wide body. Lots of great references to the movie (I didn’t see the 3 sea shells anyware) and voiceovers. The 2 captive ball targets are fun, where they integrated the retinal scan floating eyeball and the hotwheels car chase into the game. Also, the claw to select modes is fun and interactive. Lastly, the pistol grip flipper buttons are weird at first; but later I found them to provide greater control over the game. Not sure if this game is a long time keeper for me, but I will enjoy the time we have together while it lasts.

Combos game! Serious and demanding game play. Best part about this game is nailing ramp after ramp after ramp, especially during a prolonged multiball. Honestly, I have never used the flipper buttons. The gun triggers mold you into a stance that makes you feel connected and in control. Giving this game a unique playability. This game has the potential to really get you into a good flow. By flow, I mean that meditative zone that you get in during prolonged gameplay. Pinball ZEN!! The real pinheads know what I'm talking about! BTW...I like them wide!

Still available are reasonable prices, many do not like the translite, personally it does not bother me, it is not great, but it is ok.. The gameplay is fantastic, VERY good job tying it to the movie, adult roms installed make the game even more fun, as it ads some new sound bites, and adult language (this was an R rated movie).. Gameplay is fast, there are many shots to master, so it never gets old.. Games really needs to be shopped correctly and dialed in well to get the full effect of the game. I would recommend this title to anyone, great for a first pin, as there is a lot to do, it is challenging and will not get old quickly

Fun game that suffers from bad artwork. Get past the way it looks and you have a super fast and fun widebody that will make any ramp/wireform fan real happy.
Great bang for the buck. The shots feel real solid when it's dialed in.
Two thumbs up.

EDIT: Had it for about a year and it got stale. It's a fun game, especially if you like ramps but it just didn't have that one more game feeling for me. Guests liked it a bunch and the handles made people interested but it just didn't have the legs to be a long term addition.
Still a game I would recommend if you can find it for a good price.

Fast game with lot of flow and cool combos. Like the car toys, the eye and the crane.
Games looks great with insert leds and crane light mod.

There was nothing about this pin To keep me playing. I really didn't like the art and the two fligger flipper buttons did nothing for me. I just thought this game was really lacking with a lot better options to play. However, I like the theme, as it was a pretty cool movie, but don't think it was integrated that great.

This game has one of the fastest ramps ever. The flipper handles one of a kind. Williams cant go wrong.

The is a very fun game to play. Tons and tons of flow. Very satisfying to watch the combo counter climb and climb. Also, you can stack up balls for the multiballs, which adds diversity. I probably played this game 15-20 times before I even cared to find out the full rule set for it. It is just tons of fun. Also a great movie to base a pin off of. Great call outs. Very reasonably priced too.

At first I thought this was a one trick pony. However, the more I play it, the more I like it. I like the upper middle flipper and the two shots you can make from there. The playfield seems a little crowded, but there is still a decent selection of shots and the left orbit shot to start multiball is a challenge for me to hit consistently and involves some risk of SDTM.
