Just got this in. Got a great high score on my second game and spent three hours trying to match it. I'm fortunate enough to have one with holo in good shape. It's not a Spiderman, and not meant to be. But since I like the fifties styled game with some neat tricks, I'll definitely keep this for a while.

IMHO this is one of the best looking machines out there, especially with laseriffics "R" rated topper installed. Game is fairly dense rule set, but has a good strategy you can work. I really like when you can get whirlpool jackpots, watching it fly down the long ass ramp and whirl and whirl is really awesome. Has great sounds and music. I love the video mode, one of my favorite in pinball. I do really enjoy playing me some Creech.

The whole shebang. Perhaps the best Bally ever made, from looks to play this game has it all.

One of, if not THE, most beautiful pinball machines ever made. Simply gorgeous artwork all around. My opinions are biased because the Creech is my all time favorite Universal monster and I own the game. That said I can still fairly judge the game without gushing... I think :)

Perfectly executed theme and fun modes. Not overly intense but does require some strategy if planning to score well. Get things done in the right order and you'll score much better than random shots.
Cramped views of some key shots (Move your car, snack bar) takes the overall gameplay rating down a notch. What else could Mr. Trudeau do though? Perhaps a wireform ramp would have made things more visible but then we would lose those fascinating chase lamps. Play vs beauty. The compromise is tolerable but hardly ideal. Still, one of my most cherished games.

A fun pinball, but not a keeper for me. There are some cool parts about it, the artwork is sweet, pretty rad theme. little bit too much going on close to the flippers for my liking, I like a more wide open pin, but still a sweet game.

I love playing this game, something about the layout and the ramps and loops. So many shots to go for and it looks great. I would think about buying one except for the difficulty in replacing the hologram and the hologram does not really add much to the game anyway. I have decided that in the dark, with green chase lights in an attract mode, that this is the most beautiful pin of all! TOTAN is close but backglass on CFTBL way better.

Not an easy pinball which makes it so interesting and wanting you to come back for more.

Major disappointment. Have since tried playing it on location at least a dozen different times wanting to love this machine, and just can't do it. It plays alright, and the theme is great. There is just so many intangibles that I think it lacks to be continously fun. Not an "A-List" game in my book.

*Update* I like it slightly better, but still a disappointment pin from one of my favorite designers Dr. Flash. Has an A-list sound and art package. Love the hologram when it works, and the animations are classic. Gameplay is linear and boring and the layout is kinda clunky. Congo, Flintstones, and Ghostbusters are all better total packages in my opinion.

Another horror genre pin for my future collection. Love the ramps although the center playfield seems to be heavily congested and it is difficult to see the lanes behind it all. Overall fantastic music and and gameplay. It's always fun to illuminate the hologram creature in the playfield.

CFTBL is in my top 10. I enjoy the theme, the artwork, and feel of this machine. The collectibility factor is extremely high in my opinion.

Great theme , clever, going to the movies in 50's. Fun to play. Can be set up tough.
Cons , Ramps can be difficult to see ball , only a 2 ball multi ball.

This is one cult Bally game that I do not particularly enjoy. I find it a bit of a drain monster and cannot see what the fuss is all about...

Had one ( about 10 years ago) sold and then re bought. I originally was not a fan, but with more time in the hobby , I seem to have developed more appreciation for the engineering and design in this game. Not overly complicated rules but certainly a lot to shoot for. A more difficult game then I originally understood. I do not see this leaving my collection again.

I really had high hopes for this pin when I stepped up to it. The cabinet artwork, theme, sound, and exciting looking play field really sucked me in.

Unfortunately, I grew frustrated after numerous quick ball drains. Man is this machine unforgiving! I am a novice, but really this seemed ridiculous. Thankfully the machine was set to free play as I wouldn't have had the patience to plug in more money after the ridiculously fast ball drains I experienced. Yet even with the free play, my attention soon drifted to other challenging, but also fun tables.

My favorite game of all time. A ton to do, and challenges the best pinball players. The 2 ball muti ball is fantastic!!!.

The playfield is too crowded, ball kicks out constantly. The creature effect is cool when you find a machine that has it working. The theme is neat, but the music is some of the worst I've heard on a pin. It's no doubt a beautiful game, just not a whole lot of fun to play.

CFTBL is an interesting game. I actually bought this game not liking it. I played it and thought it was evil. Almost very ball went straight down the drain. My brother loved it and said that I had to buy it no arguments. I figured that the very reason I didn't like it might make it a good long term game. One that takes time to master. That was SO the case. This game takes a lot of perseverance to penetrate. I have four pins in my collection and CFTBL is rarely played more than once by newcomers. How this game would work in an arcade is beyond me. However on free play in a private collection it is amazing. I can lose hours playing this game. This is not a quick "while the kettle boils" sort of pin. You have to be quite tactical. Theme is personal choice and therefore I won't comment other than to say I like it. Gameplay is where it matters and longevity really matters when you own a machine. One for a collection but maybe not for the casual gamer. A keeper and in my top ten no question.
