CFTBL is really not appealing to me at all. Its a terrible mess of a design with ramps and lighting that litter the playfield and obscure almost every playfield feature from nearly any angle. I think the drive in movie theater theme is well done as well as the music and sound package. The Art package might be fantastic if you could see any of it without disassembling the game but it does have one of the coolest toys, the creature himself. The only problem is that most creatures have literally seen their day in the sun and are faded or broken in some way. The creature hologram is also expensive to replace and difficult to find. IMO this game is loved only by those who really appreciate the theme and nostalgia of the 50s drive-in and happy days. If you are looking for a fun game with rules other than go for MB, look elsewhere.

Love it or hate it. I happen to love it and would love to find another one day (with the original green hologram).

This game has the best overall art package of any pinball game ever made, IMO. Add the video and speaker panel mods to take this into another realm altogether. Art, sound, music, translite, cabinet, callouts--all superior efforts. You could just turn it on and be satisfied by just watching the lights--but hit "start", as the more you play this game the more you appreciate it. "Finding the Girl" never gets old. When you can top that with a Jackpot--icing on the cake. Throw a couple of balls into the pop bumpers to start Super Jackpot (after spinning in the whirlpool several times to max out the multiplier). If you can accomplish all this and get lucky enough to hit Super Jackpot--no shot in pinball is more satisfying! "Move Your Car" and "Peeper Punch-out" are two of the best modes in any pinball game. This game is a stunner, nothing else is like it.

The theme on this one is great. Getting one with a working hologram is the trick tho. Ramps are great. Callouts are fun. This is also on my short list... ok so maybe the list is a bit longer than I care to admit.

This game is just fun. Filled with things to keep anybody happy. Newbie and pinhead alike are going to enjoy every game. There is a reason this game is coveted

Fun game but not an "A" lister for mine. Cool music and fun theme but limited Compared to top 10 games. That said it is a good price and a solid game for those not wanting to get too deep.

This is a great theme...and as far as I'm concerned, a good player! I'm not a big fan of super-deep rules at all. I get confused and just want to have fun playing a game.
The rules here are pretty straightforward. The theme is great, the music is great!
The only thing I'm working on is that the lighting seems to leave the playfield a little too dark for my taste, but a few LEDs will take care of that.
Fading holograms are a bummer, but new alternatives are on the way...

A fun game to be sure!

This is an excellent pinball game. The flow is really good, there are several modes to play and the creature hologram is one of the best gadgets ever!

Con: Hard to find one with a really green holo.

This is one of my favorite themes of all time. Old school drive-in movie theater is about as Americana as you can get. The playfield is great and I'm a big fan of the hologram. A unique aspect of the machine not seen elsewhere. The sounds are perfect and really match the theme well. And it's got my favorite cabinet artwork of any machine ever made.

Gameplay wise it's fun, although not in the class of some of the great games from that era. You may grow tired of it after awhile. But it's fun in the meantime and a game that friends will flock to. Definitely a classic that for the right price everyone should own.

Can't go wrong with this theme. The music and sound are great. Shots are well played. Have yet to play a tight version of it with a functioning hologram. This is Def a pin on my wishlist.

Just got her a couple weeks ago. Hard enough that I should be able to play for a long time. Shots are cool as are the modes and supercool hologram. Fun so far. Will update on long term playability after I have it a while.

I think this game grows on me more and more. I owned it for a short time, but believe I sold it a bit to soon to decide if it were truly awesome. At least I can still play my friends ;)

This game is very nostalgic for me. Its one of the first pins I can remember "falling in love with". Its probably the first pin I have real lasting memories from. The sound and the music are great and have a real old school feel to them (in a good way). The art and the hologram are wonderful. I feel like there is plenty to do and this pin always leaves me wanting to come back for more. I would love to own this pin someday.

A pinball that deserves respect. It's not about how many balls can I have on the playfield but about kissing ya girl, beating up the peeping Tom and finding the creature. I love how ball incorporated plenty of MK. Play the game as normal or blow up the dinner, choke the waiter or punch the peeping toms head off and watch the blood flow.......fatality!

I love the theme of this machine more than any other ever made. It reminds me of the era most of us old school pinheads grew up in, going to the drive in theater. Some shots can be repetitive on this machine and there are visibility issues with parts of the playfield, but wow what a cool machine.

Creech is a players game. Period.

The Pros: Shots that require precision at all times. Most of the playfield is cut in half from the flippers to the top of the pf. Setting up 4x pf and getting a super jackpot (another 2x) is TOUGH, but if you can do it, it is SOOOOOOO is worth it. Makes you jump up and down with joy. Risk vs. reward personified on this deck. The entire team got the package right with this game. It plays fast but is true to the retro feel of game's theme. This game is all about control and your ability to execute shots as needed. Building up the game to multiball can be hard work. Watching it all fade away after a single missed shot is punishing. Partially obstructed shots do not make anything easier on this design. This game will make you a better player because of it's design, but it is not necessarily for the casual player. My very first pinball game was another Trudeau design, Judge Dredd. CFTBL is head and shoulders above it. I'd go as far as to say that this is Trudeau's crowning achievement of his pinball career.

The Cons: Shots that require precision at all times. If you miss, you will very well pay the price. Sometimes I just wish that the flippers were 1/8th of an inch closer together.

The Takeaway: This game is not for the timid or the flailers. All the shots start 13/to 1/2 the way up the PF and send missed shots screaming back at the flippers and the lanes. Most of the lower ratings on this game reflect a more casual player's point of view. This game was the final game of a division at PAPA 2010 and it separated the players who could do under pressure when it was time to perform, and those who struggled. And these were some of the best players in the world. Now, if you don't like it, play another game. Personally, this game keeps me coming back and I am very happy to have it in my collection. I enjoy this table knowing that I am a better pinball player with it in my stable.

I really enjoy this one...I'm a big fan of the subject matter, and I really like how it incorporates a lot of the other popular things from the time-period the original "Creature" film was released. It's a great game, with some great "gimmicks" that makes this a must-play".
