Really Enjoyed it my only concern is I could not get the Creature to show his face.

Can get repetitive, however still very fun. Ramps are satisfying to hit and very smooth when shopped and kept clean. Always fun to light the holo, but multiball is too short and would have been better as a 3 ball. Overall very good.

Good game a bit busy at the front of playfield, really hard to see the ball, lightning ramps, love the music and call outs .......overall a solid machine and very good for a 2 ball multi machine.

So many shots and modes to this game. Great music and sound. Hologram is a very cool feature when working.

The perfect execution of game theme. No other even comes close. Drive in movies, monsters, 50's tunes. Can it get any better?

Creature From Black Lagoon's ramps are awesome.
Very beautifull game, the attract mod is very attractive
One default, there are only two balls for multiball.
CFBL is a medium skill pinball.

A pretty hard game in my opinion, which could make not too much fun for beginners. You need to do many precise shots to get the 2ball multiball. Even you have the multiball it's over pretty quick without good ball control. I didn't like it too much at the beginnig but the more i play the more i like it. It's also one of the best looking playfields with all the lightning and the "100m" long ramps.

A fun game with a decent array of shots, and a cool theme. The shots feel rewarding, and the holo is cool when it works. The twisty ramps look impressive

It's kind of odd that the theme is supposed to be Creature from the Black Lagoon, but it could've almost been more effectively called "Drive In." It seems the theme is more 50s drive-in B-movie in general, than "Creature" in particular.

I'm not a big fan of the scoring, or game progression to be honest; I know it's an early B/W DMD, but I feel like the software holds it back from being as fun as it could.

Really nice pin. I like how the designers were able to incorporate the movie with the theme of a drive-in theatre. Nicely done.

Pros:
- Amazing art package for the playfield, backglass and cabinet
- Really satisfying shots
- Easy to learn rules
- Challenging Super Jackpot that feels really rewarding
- Hologram looks really cool

Cons:
- Stock lighting is pretty dark in the upper playfield
- Repetitive to light FILM over and over
- Only a 2 ball multiball
- Snackbar rewards are pretty lame
- Some of the music is REALLY annoying after a while
- The Ramps obscure some of the center shots

You just can't go wrong with a pin designed by John Trudeau. Challenging & fun all at the same time. Trying to max out the multiplier & score a super jackpot is indredibly rewarding if you pull it off. Keeps you coming back for more!

Another all time classic from Bally/Williams. First game I ever purchased and so glad I kept it all of those years. Trying to get super jackpot with multiplier jacked is still a challenge.

Our whole family, wife and kids included love this game. Definitely a keeper. Lots of fun ramp shots. The rule set is easy to fugure out but is not to deep but still fun. We love the music! I love ramps and this has lots of ramps!

An incredibly fun game- and when things are rolling- its the fastest game around. The hologram phase is a well-worth challenge. Wonderful to look at and a great theme.

A wonderful throwback theme that is integrated much better than I would have thought. The artwork on the playfield is busy, but in a good way. The game does a very good job of drawing you in just by looking at it. The music and speech fit the theme well too and are very catchy.

All this being said, the game is not an overall winner for me. The layout feels clunky and hard to keep my interest. Ball times can range greatly on this machine depending on how dialed in the machine is. A game many people really love...and I agree theme-wise, just not into the game all that much. I have played more than five different examples and my overall thought is the game is fun in the short term, but legs are not long for me.

I've owned this a couple of years now. Not the deepest machine but great fun as you build your way towards finding the girl and saving her from the Creature. Will remain with me for a long, long time.

CFTBL is really not appealing to me at all. Its a terrible mess of a design with ramps and lighting that litter the playfield and obscure almost every playfield feature from nearly any angle. I think the drive in movie theater theme is well done as well as the music and sound package. The Art package might be fantastic if you could see any of it without disassembling the game but it does have one of the coolest toys, the creature himself. The only problem is that most creatures have literally seen their day in the sun and are faded or broken in some way. The creature hologram is also expensive to replace and difficult to find. IMO this game is loved only by those who really appreciate the theme and nostalgia of the 50s drive-in and happy days. If you are looking for a fun game with rules other than go for MB, look elsewhere.
