What an awesome game! I would definitely be on the hunt for one if my two buddies didn't have the nicest one I ever played. This game is such a sleeper! A TON OF FUN!

Thanks to a recent visit to PHoF, I am recently re-obssessed with pinball for the first time in about 35 years. So... What to do? Get my first pin. OMG! Where to freakin' begin??? Okay, enough drama. After much exploring and deliberation over many good potential choices (and some VERY overrated/over-priced ones) I happily settled on Congo. An exceptional game at a reasonable, average price. It has a fairly deep rule set, a great playfield design and awesome game flow. This pin holds lots of surprises with a LOT of replay value. A great game!

Talk about a fun game to play. Every shot feels like amazing. The mini playfield is a little silly though.

This is a very fun pin. I love how open it is on the rule set so you can go for what you want. And I love the call outs, well except for Amy, that is a little annoying.

Its not for me YET....only played it a few times.

Can't speak highly enough of this rare gem. Just such a fun pin to play. Cool skill shot, which later is utilized in a mode all of it's own. Cool toys. Great volcano shot, which is a bit like the shot thru the pops in Whirlwind en route to the 3 shot combo.
Should've made this one with a shaker motor for the cool volcano eruption for multiball. Never leaving my collection.

I think I have owned Congo for a year or so now. It's a fun game, but the honeymoon seems to be over. I really, really enjoyed it when I first got it, but now I tend to turn on a different game instead of Congo. One thing that hurts the game is the fact that there is almost no reason to shoot the right ramp, ever. I have all of my games setup with extra balls turned off which seems to be the only reason to shoot the right ramp. The only other reason to shoot it is for jackpots, but shooting the left ramp is easier, less risky and if you already have a ball on the left flipper very controllable. So you end up with a quarter of the playfield almost never used. The pops on my Congo are insanely active and evil! So I tend to avoid Amy and the mineshaft mode because they both kick balls out into the pops. So you end up with three major shots and two for locks. Sounds like I'm dogging on the game pretty hard by now, but the game is still a lot of fun and very different from other machines.

Whoa! Talk about an under rated pin... got as a trade, was a bit reluctant having never experienced this machine. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Top Rating Pin, should sit nicely next to my Williams IJ -only cons are the translite design is not my favorite and that there are Not More of these out there so everyone can experience that great pin! A+ in Fun

A great game, horrible movie. Played this for a few hours with my son, we both really enjoyed it. A real solid table.

Looks great with GI's replaced with LED's. A fun solid bang for the buck game that is just going up in price. Good shots, mini play field is fun. The wife likes it.

The rules are easy to understand, ramps and loops are easy to shoot at.

Good looking playfield with some fun shots. Custom lighting on this is a must in a home collection. Easy to follow rules and fun to play. Ignore the movie tie-in and you will end up liking this pin much more.

Great fun. Very nice flow. There are a good mix of easy shots and more skilled shots. The lower play field is unnecessary but looks cool. Art package for the pf and cabinet look great. Volcano is a cool toy. Video mode can slow it down a bit but I like the break up every once in a while. This is a keeper!

Terrible movie. Great game!

Such a lackluster and forgettable movie spawns such an awesome memorable pin! Back in the day I probably could have saved my quarters from playing this and just bought one instead. Best skill shot of all time? Possibly.

Ramps are great. Gorilla playfield is a bit overkill but all is forgiven, overall great pin.

Great flow, shots and speed. Love the sound package. Not a fan of Amy, but easily overlooked. Lower playfield gets repetitive but overall this game is super fast with satisfying shots all over. Midnight Madness mutiball is a blast.

My least expensive game of 7 I own, but one of my childrens favourites. Simple rules, all are achievable which is why/I like it. The native drums and call-outs fit in well with the theme and the movie (which is an average movie admitted). Lower playfield is fun, and the video mode down the river is a demon.

Congo has a lot going on between the volcano, the lower playfield, the upper flipper, and the pop bumper placement. It generally looks good and has a lot of positive features. Personally, I don't like the theme (I didn't even realize it was a movie) and found it a little too easy. While some shots are difficult, especially through the pop bumpers up the volcano, I found it easy to score points and get to the super multiball. Eventually, collecting diamonds got too repetitive and I started looking for another machine to play.

Santa brought Congo two years ago. It was one of my favorites from college. I was pleased to see how well it held up over time. My kids love it. It has one of the most satisfying shots, the volcano. My kids love playing it.

A great bang-for-your-buck pin. Congo has a lot of satisfying shots and modes that make you come back for more.

Don't get put off by the title of this game as it is a great, fun pinball. The volcano shot through the bumpers is one of the most satisfying shots in pinball imo.

I have owned Congo twice and regret selling the last one. I love the music and feel to the game. Love the lower playfield. Looks awesome with LED's. Hope to own one again.

Only recently got enough time in on this game to give it a fair evaluation, better than I thought but with a couple of bad things that drag it down.

The good, excellent layout, with a lot of varied satisfying shots, reminds me in some ways of The Shadow, lots of different ways to play it. Decent flow too!! Good looking game, but backglass is weak, and cabinet art is only passable, but the bright colors make up for it somewhat.

The bad, well the sound calls will eventually drive you insane, my biggest gripe, I honestly think this pin would be much higher ranked with a major sound revision. The lower playfield isn't the worst, but like most, somewhat of a waste of space and time.

All in all a fun game to play, just can't stand the sound!!
