Amazing art package, awesome sound and speach (for it's time), and addicting gameplay. For an old school SS, this game has alot going for it. Four ways to start up multiball, two of which can start up to a 5 ball MB, in-line drops, under pf magnet, and kick-back posts from both outlanes, this game has alot to keep you busy. If you have any enjoyment with older SS pins, you will love this machine.

Artwork and playfield are superlative. Great use of the Bally CPU in attract mode and features. Ahead of it's time. Still is!

Another classic from the early 80's. The excellent 'say it again' sound board gives a great echo effect to the ominous voice of half man half motorbike geezer that I assume is the person/thing talking... personally, although the artwork is very striking, I'm not as big a fan of it as most... I just find the whole motorbike/leather/biker monster/chick with implanted sunglasses thing a bit too cheesy and kitch, but without the beauty that some kitch offers.

I first became aware of this game at this year's Michigan Pinball Expo. Now I am one of those people that doesn't really like the theme and the artwork on this game, so I really don't know what drew me in to try it out in the first place, but once I tried it, it was the game play that kept me coming back for more. I like the multiball on this game, as well as the inline drop targets going up the left side of the playfield. I also like that you have to hit the ORBS drop targets in order. Also, it's cool how you can sometimes save a ball going down an outlanes by bumping it into a return lane via the gates.

I really don't know what the designers were going for with the theme, but even though the artwork in this game doesn't catch my eye, I have to admit that the black and white graphics make the blue, green, and red playfield lights look pretty cool. Overall, I'll play this game again the next time I see it.

When considered that this game came out in 1981, it was way ahead of it's time compared to the rest of the field. It's still a lot of fun to play and who can get tired of the Gothic Artwork and the low thrumming sound that keeps increasing in intensity as the game goes on?? Love it!

Cool artwork, awesome sound, rule-set that is way ahead of its time! My favorite early 80's game. Unique layout that encourages you to nudge to save the ball from the outlanes, inline drop targets with captive ball, drops that you need to hit in order, 5 ball mult-ball, etc. This game just has everything I love about pinball! Destroy Centaur!!!!

Centaur is flat out wonderful! Artwork is really cool, sound is amazing (upgrade the speakers on this one) thanks to the rare Say it Again board. The game play is really fun with the 5 ball multi as the ultimate carrot - the first of its kind. Extra balls shoot from below the playfield! Also has a shot with an
activated magnet and this may have been a first for its era. Great game, very rare in good condition - buy it if you can get one

If I were a biker, this game would be in my basement. I liked the sound coming out of this game but the ruleset is a little simple for my taste....the authoritative voice and alien bikerider are kind of a unique ideas. It's a simple solid player. I don't think it's really any better than Fireball II..in fact, the latter looks and plays better in my opinion. If you are into early 80's games and are a motorhead at heart...this is your pin.

It's old, has no fancy electronics or ingenious toys, no animated displays or booming sound; but like so many early classics, Centaur has personality, addictive goals and an ability to transport players away from their worries and cares for a little while.
Excellent rules, great machine - the only early 80's machine that I must get back into my collection someday.

A Pinball machine way ahead of it's time. Looks easy but it's harder then you think, to do it right. Real art work but a little gothic.

Super game... but only with settings on "hard" !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Otherwise this will be a boring multiball fest.

Centaur is the best classic title made. Lots of multi-balls, black & white art, rebellious theme, reverb, conceiled launch flap. Top 10 in my book.
