- Bobby Orr was one of the greatest players in the NHL from 1966-1979, playing defense for the Boston Bruins. During his career, he was a prolific goal scorer, and formed the backbone of Boston's powerful defense. Under Orr, Boston won Stanley Cup championships in 1970 and 1972. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy (rookie-of-the-year), the Conn Smythe Trophy (MVP - playoffs) twice, the James Norris Trophy (best defenseman) a record eight straight times, the Art Ross Trophy (most points scored) twice, and the Hart Memorial Trophy (NHL MVP) twice, among other achievements.
- Bobby Orr's Power Play was an extremely popular pinball game in the late '70s, despite the wariness among operators about maintaining the [relatively] new solid-state technology. Its popularity is owed in no small part to that of Orr himself, who is one of the most popular and identifiable names in hockey.
