I own MMr and MBr, but this pin just doesn't do it for me. I know I'm in the minority on this one as it's constantly in the Pinside top 3. I'm certainly not hating on this pin. It may just be the theme that doesn't excite me.

Originally thought it was good, but overrated. Finally found out why this game is in the top 5. It has good balance and good flow. No complaints it's a great game especially in the LE.

An amazing pin, every collection should have one. Approachable and fun, this pin can satisfy the quick fix for anyone. Destroying the saucer is awesome. The game isn't super deep but it doesn't need to be. It's just plain fun to shoot.

This game is an absolute Classic that's why it was remade. It's got the best topper ever and the best callouts.

Always was a fan of this machine. Great, fun theme. Unique gameplay and lay-out. I was looking for a good one for many years but most for sale were worn out old dogs or over-priced renovated old dogs. These machines were played to pieces in the arcades and bars back then. My prayers were heard and new ones were made.....yeeeessssss....! So now it is here at home and we love playing it. This almost 25 year !!! old game has not aged.....it is a true classic that gets better with age like the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin (wooow a Led Zeppelin pin....yeahhh dream on)...if you know what I mean. It is beautiful, funny, fast, love and hate in one, rewarding and frustrating. Great call outs and the best lay-out ever. Get it while they are still out there now......life is too short to have never owned an AFM....that is if you love pinball of course.

Whoa. That's all I can say right now...whoa.
I always thought that this pin was a one-trick pony and really didn't have any desire to play it let alone buy it. I was "encouraged" to purchase the CGC AFMLE and it actually blows me away. I picked it up just after Christmas and I could not be happier. What an awesome pin. Super fun to play and deceptively hard (I may take criticism on this), but I find it much more difficult than I though I would. These early 90's games may be my niche as these are what I seem to enjoy the most. Fun for my entire family (kids are 10 and 9); they cannot get enough! We are just trying to come up with a name for our Alien Guy topper! lol
The sound is fantastic and the light show is Phenomenal! Great job on this remake guys!

It's one of those pinball machines that I never tire of. I may move on to a new one but I always come back to Attack From Mars. Everything about this machine is great.

Great machine- but feels a little dated. Still great, but I like some of the shots on Madness more. Trolls give MM the edge.

Easy for a beginner to pick up or pretty deep for experienced player. It’s funny, its artwork is great and kids love it

AFMr is by far one of the best out there. Truly has a great game play, lighting and call outs. I consistently find every age of pin players gravitating towards the game and wanting to play it more and more. The topper is awesome! Its not fast as others and consistently remains a bit challenging to accomplish and complete all of the missions. Very happy I added this pin to the collection.

I think I enjoyed this game more than my rating implies. Its a classic, and I think thats part of the appeal. The theme is just ok and the toys look like, well, toys.
Its easy to jump on and play right away, which is a good thing. Doubt I would ever buy it, but make sure to play at least one game anytime I pass by one.
edit: I bought this game after all and its fun because it is so simple. Very fast rebounds that keep you on your toes. I'm newer to pinball so I don't have nostalgia for games, but this one has that throwback appeal of simplicity. Blowing up alien saucers is more fun that it should be, but I wish I could just let France fall =)

I have owned this pin for awhile and have played it hundreds of times. I absolutely love it. It, along with WOZ Ruby Red edition, is one of the most beautiful pins around.

The layout is magnificent and never disappoints. Sure, the center saucer shot is risky, but that only adds to the fun, making sure to hit it on a ricochet/bank rather than straight up. The call outs are funny (I never tire of "take your hands off of me...all four of them."

It is one of the most well-lit pinballs out there, which I really like. It pops in a room filled with other pins.

A spectacular game.

Not any special comments here. AfM is good game, not as good as MM and many others. It is mainly FUN game. And that is good. There are too many too complicated themes, this is simply enough.

I’ve played both the original and remake on many occasions. AFM is a fun, classic game that I always enjoy. With that said, I am not sure I would rate it as top 10 of all time let alone #1.

The layout is fun and it has good humor as well. The playfield, particularly by more recent standards, however, doesn’t have many toys or that much going on. I think it is kind of bare. I personally prefer MM for a similar era, classic pin with a similar layout (more and better toys).

I didn’t play AFM growing up so there is no nostalgia factoring into how I rate this pin. Overall, a fun pin but not one where I think it is better than several newer pins and not one I think I would pay 6k+ for.

I love this machine! I am truly addicted to this game. I played the original and the remake quite a bit, and I find the original to be made a bit better. But you can't go wrong with either one. The game play is fast and fun, the game rules are great, destroying saucers to me never gets old. The call outs???? "MULTIBALL!!!" amazing!

If I was going to be real picky about this game, I would say it is a drain monster. Which makes me a better player but damn it can be frustrating! Especially when you are playing at a $1 a play at the bar. But again, it makes me a better player. So yeah I am a big fan.

I have only owned this game for a few weeks and so far so good. The LE is just cool, topper is really cool and I love how it’s interactive with the game. The shots are fun and pretty smooth. The space ship in the middle is a dangerous shot but you have to shoot the shot a bunch to get to the wizard mode. The lighting show is top notch. Love the Martian multi ball even though it really isn’t worth much in points. I also like the video mode and all the Easter eggs in this game. The only knock on it is it might be a bit too easy to to get to the wizard mode, but on the other hand it’s still gratifying to get there. Think the jumbo dmd really helps to make this game pop.

AFM is a fun game, but really showing its age. A bit limited and repetitive.

Challenges Medieval Madness as the greatest game of all-time, though any discussion on that front should also include Monster Bash, The Wizard of Oz, Iron Maiden, Cactus Canyon and a few others. I loved the original but the re-make completely blows it away. The light show is the best in pinball as is the topper, build quality is far better than the original and the overall aesthetic experience leaves the original in the dust.

This game is probably the greatest pinball machine ever made. It has a simple and easy to grasp rule set and goal for beginners, and lots of things to do for pinball masters. The theme is awesome, and the remake is amazing. I love this machine and if I could only have one (and afford it) it would be this one.

Though I have never been a huge fan of the original, I really enjoy the entire package that is AFMr LE. The topper is the best in pinball, the huge custom color DMD is fantastic looking and still captures that 1990's DMD era while stepping it up. The animations are far better than the original. The sound is big, rumbling and fits the theme perfectly. This is a good playfield design and a good pinball game, but overall it is better than just the gameplay. I would give the gameplay a 7 and the overall pin a 9. It's the entire package that makes this remake a winner. Would love to own an LE someday.
