Of all em machines, i like this artwork the best. This is a fun machine to play. You need it running in tip top shape to have the lower half play fast.

Definitely a keeper, theme is aweome!

First game I brought back from the dead so Im a little biased because I learned a lot from this game. With that said it's a fun little wedgehead with a cool theme. I love the hole kickers at the top of the shooter lane, definitely a good game for aiming your shots with each ball. Lots of standing targets on the bottom half of the playfield to aim for. Also pretty crazy when you activate the final bonus when after hitting all the targets with the buzzer going off. Definitely a keeper. If you see one play it. If you see one for sale buy it and restore it! Staying in my collection for a long time.

I love this game but i recently played one that i didnt realize needed a massive overhaul. It was tge third ine i played like that so i figured that was normal and they were lack luster. I rebuilt my friends and it plays fantastic. If done right it will have plenty of pop!

This is not an easy game with small flippers and small targets but that why i like it. The art work is excellent.

For me this machine ranks up there with gottliebs best but not as good as abra.

Not all that easy to find but they are around and usually wont break your wallet

At first i didnt give this machine much credit, but the art is fantastic and i just keep going back to playing when i can.

I want to find one for sure! , the theme is excellent and its a classic.

If you want and old pin to be wow your friends aquarius will do it!

Its right up there with neptune, and atlantis but it not easy to find
The problem is that there are so few around

Nice game, being good with the skill shot can make it almost too easy though when going for earning credits. The placement of targets makes for some challenging shots, but being able to collect them with the upper lanes makes that seem like a secondary goal. It is rare for me to get a decent score on the game, but I can collect all the zodiac signs pretty well. Even with the outlanes positioned tight the balls drain pretty easy.

The art on the game is pleasant, and the playfield and backglass go together well. I like that once you start a game the flashing lights go out behind the "Aquarius" title to avoid distraction, but come back on once game is over, nice touch for an "attract mode." I put a comet color change LED behind the stream in the backglass, makes the water slowly change colors, I think it looks nice.

This is supposedly the first game with Gottlieb's great chimes, which just can't be beat, so that is a nice plus. It is an ok wedgehead, but not to the level of the likes of Top Card and Volley. I have not played any older wedges, but have played some older single player games that I enjoyed more.

Average minus game for this era in my opinion. If you’re going for score, it’s really all about trying to get the ball back up to the top and get into saucers which provide the bulk of the scoring. Skillful nudging is key there. If you’re going for specials it’s more challenging and you need a better variety of shots.

Lots of target to knock down on this one and a pretty open but challenging lower playfield. Once you clear the targets really nothing to do. A spinner or two would be nice.

Aquarius is an interesting table with an unusual theme for pinball.

The Pros:
Great skill shots from the top. Targets all along the lower part of the pf require good nudging skills. The art work has a "Classic Greek" feel to it. Solid action in the pops. The travelling special around the PF means that you have to work the PF all over from the start to the finish of the game.

The Cons:
The space between the itty bitty flippers. Solenoid coils must be able to get the ball to reach the top of the PF.

The Takeaway: A solid game from Gottleib. Me likey...

Update:
This game has to be tuned just right, but when it is... it is a great playing deck. The biggest trick is the nudging/tilt balance for skillful gameplay. When done correctly, the lanes at the top are more available for choice, the outlanes are more savable and the deck still will tilt you out if you go full cro-mag on it. Strong flippers are a must if you ever hope to get the ball back to the top, but getting the ball into the bumper garden is a great way to make sure that you can sink as many saucers as you possibly can to light the PF special. If you have to, consider making the table less steep to get the ball moving up the PF faster! The two right most saucers are the most important as they also light the 11 and 12 targets that can otherwise only be accessed by the outlanes. So spend some time tuning the gameplay on this deck and see what Master K had in mind. If you get it right, this game is a real challenge that is always just a shot or two away from your grasp!
