Back when this game hit there was nothing like it. It takes it's hits from people comparing it to more modern games. Staring into a line of EM machines this one was always being played.

Beauty of an art piece, but a dog of a game. All pinball is good pinball, but this just isn't a very good game. Little flow from the King of Flow Steve Ritchie's first offering before he hit his stride with Williams. A big clunky widebody that doesn't use any of its space very well.

Steve Ritchie's first design, sound by Eugene Jarvis, art by George Opperman, what could go wrong, right? Well, one out of three ain't bad...

Seriously...this is a fantastic looking machine with slow, widebody play that leaves much to be desired. There's one kick out that literally cannot be deliberately hit. Only a lucky bounce will knock it in there. I have the utmost respect for Ritchie, but I suppose everyone has to start somewhere. Sounds are typical late 70s Atari beeps and bonks. This one's a keeper for me as I'm trying to put together a nice Atari lineup just for art and history's sake, but I can't see this one keeping anyone else's attention for long.

My god this is an awful game. I played it at the Australian Pinball Expo in 2014. The captive ball in the centre is a massive device and dominates the playfield leaving very little room to shoot for anything else. It is a marvellous museum piece though, looking very 70's, very Atari and of course it was Steve Ritchie's first game.

I own this machine because it was the first electronic and the first wide-body pinball I ever played. There are a lot of better pinballs out there but I keep it for sentimental reasons.

Looks fantastic, but play is very slow and dull.Has some nice features like captive ball, but is a rare novelty at best.
