The artwork and theme are very well done. If you are a fan of the show, or have even seen the show, you will appreciate the effort here, especially the hat trip on the BG. The callouts can get annoying as others have mentioned. Rules are a little weak. Fun on location, not on my must have list.

I took one of these in on a trade recently. I wanted something family friendly, simple ruleset for the novice and a fun machine for a casual player like myself. After a good clean and wax job I have to say this machine surprised me. It's fast...and the orbits will send the ball flying STDM. It's a great funny game with a classic theme from years back. The backglass is awesome and the overall quality of the game is pretty decent. Is it Bally/Williams gorgeous? No, but it is solid fun and the ramps, backglass and simple ruleset allow for family fun vs having to walk kids through a complex ruleset. This pin (like most Data East games) is finicky and needed to be tweeked to get it shooting well. But now the ramps are buttery smooth and the game has several toys, drop down targets, stand up targets and ramps. So bang for the buck it's a decent and fun pin to have in the collection. It may not last for long, but we all seem to enjoy it after two months.

Had the game for a couple of years. The artwork on playfield was good and the game played well. Good for kids

Fun game with a good amount of things to shoot for. I like the music and call outs in this game. You will find yourself yelling "Wrong Hat!!!" at random times after playing this! Great game for novice players, kids and adults alike. There is nothing that really keeps you coming back for more, but nonetheless it is a fun game to play on location or to own in a collection.

The best DataEast backglass and playfield art. I generally don't like DE playfield art at all, but this one was an exception probably because of the cartoon style. Sound quality could have been better.

I bought this game and it was definitely not a keeper for me. After 4 weeks, I was sick of the machine, and I didn't play it that often. When you get a new game, you are always drawn to keep playing the game at first. This game.... Not so much. Repetitive voices such as wrong hat, ok Mr Pea body, OK, Mr. Know it all etc... I hated this game. This is the first game, I just didn't like what so ever. I loved the Theme, I loved the back glass, and I thought the cabinet was cool looking. However as far as game play, It just didn't do it for me. I usually do a Pros and con list, but it isn't worth it. I was warned not to buy this game a year ago, and I didn't heave the advice.

Really great game. Art is great and so is the music. Sounds can get a little annoying and the theme is a little kiddie, but the great art and layout make up for it. Great price to for what you get.

I've owned this machine for about nine months now, and played it almost every day. So here's my review:

To start things off, I think Rocky and Bullwinkle might be the best value for money in pinball.

Game-wise, this game has a little bit of everything; two ramps, two scoop holes, drop targets, standing targets, pop bumpers, etc. The way the ramps and lanes are laid out gives great flow to the game and allows you to make multiple combo's. Ball speed can get pretty intense this way!

The artwork is very impressive on this game. From the playfield to the backglass and cabinet, there is so much to see that I still notice new things after 6 months. Also, you'd be hard pressed to find another playfield that pops out as much as this one. It's full of bright colours and there are little drawings all over the place.

Sound is great if you like the theme. If you don't like cartoon voices and the likes, then I can imagine this is not for you. People mention the repeated 'Wrong Hat!' callout a lot, but it never bothered me personally (and remember i've been playing this daily).

It's not a deep game, but I see that as a matter of taste. This is a fast and furious game, so it's for players that like a challenge and don't mind getting their ass kicked by the machine. Ball times are usually not very long, until you manage to get 'in the zone' and really go to town! This is where the game shines, as it ramps up the music and lightshow, and offers some very high scores when you are killing it in multiball.

Final verdict: if you like fast, no-nonsense gameplay, this is the game for you! It's replayability is through the roof and to me this is a real player's game.

This game was a pleasant surprise. Much more fun thatn I expected. I wasn't a huge fan of the cartoon show as a kid, but the theme is well integrated into the well-designed pin with some nice surprises while playing.

This is my first table and I love it. I loved the show so it makes sense to me but my kids also love it and they are not familiar with the show. I find the table a challenge and the scoring is difficult enought to want to keep playing.

Only ss game I own of course only have 6 games, but never want to sell it, and totally fun. Has every character of the show I loved to watch as a kid as part of the game play. The animations are cool for the year built. And while challenging, you can score well. And love to set up the hat trick to watch the back glass pull a rabbit out of my hat animation.

A very funny pinball, that makes a great use of its theme. It's fun to play from times to times, but it quickly becomes a bit repetitive and lacks of challenge, if that's what you're looking for. But it will certainly make a great family pinball, even if it can feel a bit steep, and clunky (something I observed on many Data East machines; I'm not their biggest fan, I admit.)

I think this game is average, good if you like the theme, I remember watching r and b show, "nothing up my sleve".... just so outdated today , good job D.E during it's release, there were better machines at the time to play, this one was no fun ,anoyiing, and seemed to colorful to me then and still just average today, not a awful game, definitely not a keeper!!!

This game is a really fun table. Rule set is not as deep as newer games, but it is a real treat to play and as a bonus you can unlock a nice multiball nearly every time. My kids really love this one as it is colorful and relatively easy to get into.

Bonus is the LED conversion on this cabinet if you have it. The color matched LEDs erally make the colors pop out.

Fun game with great artwork and one of the coolest backglasses in all of pinball. That said, I owned this for awhile and just didn't love the feel and flow. The callouts can certainly be repetitive and annoying even if you like the characters which I do. Part of me hated to sell it because I love the artwork so much and I think it's still better than most games in the $2K range. Would work well in a bigger collection.

I picked up a Rocky and Bullwinkle for a song and a dance. The playfield was dirty, under cabinet lights dim and Bullwinkle's arm & Lion were broken (typical problem). Cleaned both the top & bottom of playfield, added color LEDs (surprised at sheer number of bulbs), rewired Lion solenoid from 50V to 32V and replaced Bullwinkle's arm & Lion ($9 each). Fired it up and haven't stopped laughing!! This is a fun game for all ages. My older guest (40 & up) recognize the theme and the rest (40 & down) don't but they ALL play it---a lot. The rules are fairly simple so I don't find myself having to explain what to do for very long (and yes thats a good thing). The sounds are wacky and the play is fast with good flow. The back box toy/gimmick of Bullwinkle pulling a lion, rhino or rabbit out of a hat is the best one ever used. I own several games with deep rules (MM, TZ, RBIoN, PoTC) and find the change of pace to a "Stupid Game of Pinball" refreshing & fun!! This is one of the most played games in my collection. WAY underrated game should be in the top 50!!!

The Pros: Easy rules (but not too easy). Great use of theme. Wacky sounds and music. Best ever back box toy/gimmick. Good use of DMD animations. Nice speed and flow.

The Cons: (Same as Pros) Easy rules.....Theme (I never did quite get Rocky and Bullwinkle Cartoon)....Wacky sounds and music (hearing "wrong hat" over and over and over = gun to head & pull trigger). Back box toy/gimmick problematic. Over use of DMD animation affects flow.

The Takeaway: Fun & played a lot by guests (and myself when I need a fun break). Good theme, wacky sounds and best ever back box toy/gimmick. A good addition to any size collection.

Would I Buy It: YES & I did.. You should to! (It wont ever leave my collection for the sheer "Stupid fun of it")

The best thing about this game is simply that is is equally fun and difficult. Many shots are so satisfying, but require a lot of soil. The "Save Nell" toy is great, and the art on the machine is a perfect adaptation to the show. The only downside is the repetitive soundtrack, but it never pushed me away from the game.

Fun game, beautiful art. This is easily the nicest game DE made art-wise. Real mirror BG, PF is spectacular, cab is great, great fun.

The code is lacking a little, the rule set isn't the greatest, and some of the call-outs "wrong hat!" can get a little grating, but it is still a fun game. Layout is fairly unique as well, although a lot of stuff is kinda hard to see. Great theme though. And usually a great bang for your buck game.

R&B was my second ever game, i bought if for a song as the entire back end was missing, rotted away after being stored on its arse when the water came in.

this is an EXCELLENT fun title. lots of shots, really fun cartoonish playfield and dots and callouts, the rules have plenty in them, and the backbox - featuring a real, gorgeous, mirrored backglass - has an animated semi-random feature where Bullwinkle pulls something out of a hat and it determines what happens next.

it's really colourful, it appeals to kids of all ages, it has modes and multiballs and three ramps and even a fun little feature (that sadly always breaks or is missing) where a log with Nell strapped to it gets slowly nearer and nearer to danger (caused by the darstardly Snidely, of course) and you have to race against the clock to hit the drop targets to save her.

don't let anyone tell you this is repetitive or boring or easy or samey, i bet that if you ask anyone who owned one or spent any decent time with one will agree, this is a hidden gem. recommended at the price, insatiable an appetite, she's a ..... oh sorry, wrong song.

i meant 'wrong hat!'
