The good:
Good music, simple, fast gameplay. Easy to follow.

The bad:
Not the most attractive pro out there. It sort of looks like Transformers Pro's unattractive cousin.

The ugly:
Easily the most unappealing playfield. I don't fancy playing pinball while looking at a constepated Angus. Yuk. If you play a premium, this one just feels/looks aweful. I read that you can add some of the premuim mods to it, but in the end, you still have to look at constipated Angus.

why bother for second best, just go straight to ACDC premium edition.......don't get one cause you want an ACDC hold off for a premium.

One of my favorite pins right now. Great variety in shots and strategy in how to rack up a good score. Can play for hours and still want more.

Played a Pro today for the first time. It's a really fun, fast game. I'm very impressed and I have not even played an LE yet. They only problem I have with it is that the toys seem cheap on the pro. The train is just a plastic, the band up top is the same. But the bell is pretty damn cool. Also the fire button adds to the fun. Even with the cheap toys, great game. And I will own one soon enough.

A very good bang for the buck game. Though it is missing a handful of extras that the premium has, mainly the stand up targets on the Pro in place of premium drop targets.....but that just makes the Pro faster and more brutal when you brick a shot.

Fast and furious play....quick ramp returns and a great multiball ruleset that keeps you interested. The risk/reward of the cannon shot for song jackpots gets you thinking, "Do I cash in, or hold off until I build it up more?" Be careful....if you drain, all that work is for not. You must start over next ball.

A fantastic game with great music that you are able to change as you progress through the song modes. The bell toy that increases the playfield scoring times 2X or 3X is really where the points can start racking up. This game is a winner!

Even without the extra toys and LED lighting this is still a great pin. Great music and sound. The way you change songs and how they're implemented should be the model for all future music themed pins. I'd love to get one and mod the crap out of it.

I was a big fan of this game when it came out still am I like both the pro and le maybe le a bit better but this is a great Steve Ritchie game and the gameplay definitely has flow with it

man played this game,an thought i was at the concert, sound is amazing!!!!love the bell and the cannon, art work looks great, really enjoyed it,would definatly own one if i could....it was great!!!real good for if you had people around for entertaining guests who like rock n roll!!!.....Edit.2015.. After spending a lot of time on the Premium model lately, this game is cut back way too much, no drops, no minni playfield and missing a fair few toys.. I can see why they did this so less breaking parts an maintence on location but it takes away from how good ACDC really is..

WOW. Awesome game. I usually don't love sterns, this game changed my mind. Amazing game. The whole idea of choosing a song is genius and will be copied in many other pinball machines in the future. Just a great pinball machine that should/will be higher up on the rankings in the long run. Worth every penny. Great machine.

A solid game with a decent tried-and-true layout and great code, but the theme just keeps me from wanting to play it.

The premium is fun, but stand ups on the pro are lame and ruin the feel

i had some doubts about the pro, man how wrong i was.
package is incredible, steve ritchie did wonders here, the game is perfect!!!
faster than the LE, no doubt! ok i don't get the mini playfield and i don't really care for it or drop targets but it's ok. but i have to agree i'll miss the light show from the LE.
i can mod the game as much as the LE and the way i want. won't have any problems with that foggy, cracked, fisheyes, bumpy lower window. what a pain it will be to change that playfield because of that window. main reason i went with the pro.
pro or LE, this is one of the best pin to come out in the last decade!

This plays harder than the prem/Le does. A lot faster, also with no drop targets the ball rebounds faster. This game will make your accuracy better, if not you will not score well. You also have to be more strategic with your shots as only the right ramp goes to the cannon. If I had the cash this would be in my living room right now. Oh and btw you barely notice angus's face cause your way to busy taking care of the ball to care.

ACDC pro is a points based game. That being said, once you know the rules and what shots do what, it is extremely fun but also hard. This machine is really fast and can get a lot of SDTM's or outlane drains, but this is where skill comes in. People say that the music is repetitive, but I do not agree. You choose a song at the beginning of play and you have to complete so many targets/songs to change the jukebox. It is supposed to play the entire song until you change it. Playability is nonstop, I have yet to this day ever completed the encore to get the encore jackpot. You have to complete all the songs in order to do this which is very difficult. I'm glad I have this in my mancave, what could be better than pinball and ROCK!!!

Pro Version is incredibly fast, much faster than Premium/LE. For me personally the difference between the models is not worth 2k or more, do not miss the lower playfield. Challenging and really fun game!

I just recently bought the pro after playing a lot of the premium. I will definitely say the premium is better without question. Let me make this clear..........If you have the money go premium! That being said, the LE is not worth 2000 more if you dont have the money. Now that I got that out of the way, ACDC pro is fast, I mean fast, I am talking the fastest pin ever created. As a fan of ACDC, the music is just amazing, although I still think they could have chosen a few better songs. If you like fast pace, action pinball with short ball times, this is your game. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and reminds me of the feeling I get playing Iron Man, a combination of fear and adrenaline.

AC/DC is the best game to come from Stern in a long long time.

The Pros:
This is the best sounding pinball game... ever. The theme is incredibly well executed and the details of this game are well attended. Drops instead of standups are a welcome addition. The Bell diverter lane as well as the diverter from the left ramp. Oh yeah... the lower pf is a welcome return and addition to this game. Not too much time is spent down there and the scoring is not so significant that it is unbalancing. This table flows well and is a worthy successor to the T2 layout. Smooth flow and lots of different modes use the entire playfield and yet all the modes do not feel boring. 12 songs, 12 modes, 12 sets of rules within the same table. Stack you MB's, multiply your PF scoring and rock out! I like the stand ups better than the drops. Keeps things snappy and fast.

The Cons:
I need more time with this game. I'd love to see what they do with the wizard mode. You had better like AC/DC songs because you are going to hear a lot of it. The inlane/outlane on the right is obstructed by the cannon. The bell seems to break a bit on location. I stay away from a few modes at all cost (Thunderstruck, agh!). Once you play the LE version with the lower PF, you don't want to go back to looking at Angus's snarling puss. The lower PF isn't just a gimmick, it is an integral part of the modes inside the game.

The Takeaway:
With software updates and more tweaking of the modes on the way... this game is a winner. It feels great, it looks good and the gameplay is fantastic. I have to play this game more, and that is ALWAYS a sign of a good pinball game. Congratulations Stern... I am more excited to play this game than any other pinball game I have seen in years.

Update:
I got a chance to play the Pro version quite a bit this past week and there is good and bad to this "lesser" version of this table. Note that these comments are in comparison to the Premium/LE version of this game.

Not so Hot:
No lower PF. Angus's face is just way too big and ugly on this PF. An accurate shot to the Bell standup has a good chance of screaming SDTM. Can some sort of adjustment/ dribble gate be placed into this shot to make it less deadly for a successfully scored target?

Me Likey:
No drops in the main portion of the PF means that this game is FAST! Deadly FAST! When I get my AC/DC Premium... I may need to replace a drop target bank (or two) to keep this deck nice and quick. There is no real stop and go with this design... It's all go, go! GO!

Update:
This game has LOOOOOOONNNNG legs. I mean, it just keeps on giving and giving and giving. The game can be set up for easier play (If you absolutely need to make Encore), and can also be set up to be PAPA nasty and downright deadly as a player. There are some minor complaints about the cannon modes, but... these are such small matters as compared to the big picture that. They don't really matter at all. A true player in every sense of the term and quite possibly the only game that I don't have in my collection that I HAVE to own someday. When you really think about it, there are only 5 shots on the game.

Left Orbit
Left Ramp
Bell lane
Right Ramp
Right Orbit

and nothing of real note to the layout. This game is a true testament to the genius of Lyman Sheats and is one of the few games that Stern made that was not programmed by Keith Johnson to be a truly brilliant, deep game that is without exploits. This is a game that offers you many valid and earnable choices as to how to play as your game progresses. If pinball was art (I do most sincerely believe that it is) This pinball decck is analagous to DaVinci's David, Michaelangelo's Mona Lisa. So there. Ritchie and Sheats's AC/DC.
