Just played one this last week end; seems more forgiving than my AC/DC Prem Luci edition. First time playing this version I hit 111 million. What's not to like?

LE version is really much better. Not big on this one. Game gets old really quick. Great music in the game. Would much rather play T2.

While I would choose the Premium/LE if I had to choose, I think that the Pro is a very good game that feels different enough from the Premium that I almost see it as a completely separate game.

The rules for this are the best in the business. There are so many strategies and stacking abilities that I have yet to tire of the game over two years of regular play.

The feel of the shots is also top notch. It can be a brutal and unforgiving game, but the just-one-more-game feel is there in a way that it usually isn't on more long-playing games.

Games should be entered once. Not once for LE and once for pro....etc. This and Tron are both hogging up 2 spots in the top 100.

Yes, it is T2 redone with a nice music pack included. Nice for a short time, does not keep me coming back for more plays.

This game is just a shadow of the Premium or LE versions. Having played those, playing a pro is just not nearly as enjoyable for me at all. The massive head on the playfield is also a big design flaw. Overall, the pro model here is average at best.

My ratings are considering I have the pinball refinery pro edition with Helen Kit. Really makes a difference. Pin is easy to play vs my other pins, St TAV and XM. Flow is good, songs are great.

I just like the LE so much more. This is a great game no doubt, but my word, Angus' face ruins the PF on this one. Can't even look at it. Can't believe they couldn't come up with something better than that for the most prominent spot on the PF.

good game but the one with all the goodies is the must have, this is a let down after playing the other one!

AC\DC is an excellent game, regardless whether you are on the Premium or the Pro. The playfield is laid out great. The music kicks-ass. The shots are smooth. The rules are deep and nuanced. The cannon is pretty sweet. The light show is great (got to love Thunderstruck and the Extra Ball show!).

The Pro model gets a few points knocked off because it's lacking a lot of the toys that make the Premium models great. It's a faster game in its own right because of this, but also a much more punishing one as a result.

My only issue with AC\DC as a whole (asides from the Cannon Modes still not being implemented as of editing this rating), is that I need more variety in my experience when I am working towards a wizard mode in solo play. There are some neat things to discover in the game, like the nuances of each song in the game, and cashing in your Song Jackpot when you have 3X playfield scoring going. However, the core of the game is activating your multi-balls (super easy), and collecting your song notes on the playfield. Rinse and repeat, that's pretty much the entire game. Working towards Encore is a major grind and almost not even worth it (I've done it once.. Probably won't attempt it again). From a skilled player perspective, I understand the draw of trying to get the largest Song Jackpot as possible and that's a thrill in and of itself, but I personally prefer to have a set Wizard Mode to aim for and it's simply a long, tiresome grind getting to AC\DC's. Maybe that's my "small collection" doing the talking and if I had space for more games I would see things differently, but after owning AC\DC for a bit I had to trade it up for something with a more traditional Wizard Mode progression. I still love to play it when I see it though, either on location or in collectors' homes.

I love this machine, just as much as the premium or LE. My only complaint is the lack of lower playfield. It may be a small thing, however I feel it is a nice change of pace on the premium/le. I could care less about the rest of the changes...drop targets, ramp crossover...etc.

This game just seemed very sparse to me. I've read the comments on the premium version, but having not played it, it just felt like it was empty. Played about 10 games on it and spent most of the time watching a bouncing ball hit nothing. That center drain from the top was almost a dead center sink every time. Right ramp, which loads the cannon is a hard shot. Not impossible. But with very little to actual do on the board, I don't think one of only two ramps should be that difficult. I also never got a feeling I was accomplishing anything. Not a clear "mission start".

The center drop ball drain irritates me the most.

Very fast, flows well. Biggest issue I had was that the stand up targets on the pro often caused airballs at the location I played, and even bounced over the slingshots direct to an outlane. The stand ups makes an already fast pinball machine even harder to control. Love the playfield layout and other shots, but I think the drop targets on the premium would make a world of difference.

The theme is by far one of the best ever! Am I a AC/DC fan by any chance? YES :D

Great game. Plays faster than the LE/Premium. Those cannon shots are actually hard to hit with the stand up targets. I like the gameplay better without the lower playfield personally but obviously the light show is way better on the Premium.

This "pro" model is a top 10 pin IMHO. Mod it out or whatever but the "field" version probably did more for a resurgance in pinball interest than any of it's recent predecessors. The sounds and light show are incredible!!! I cannot emphasize that nearly enough. If your 80 year old grandpa can't walk up to this pin and play a game and leave with a smile then pull the plug on him. This game is simply fantastic and the theme and gameplay cannot capture the essence of rock and roll excess in a pin anymore than this did. This is a fantastic effort on Stern's part. The rules are simple yet deep enough to be highly addictive and the playfield toys are incorporated nicely. It's not over the top. It's beginning to end what pinball was always meant to be.

It's a good machine, but they should have only made the Premium and not bothered with Pro. It's so obvious that the Pro is a neutered Premium and not the other way around. The huge, ugly Angus Young face where the lower playfield would be, and the cardboard image of the band, just screams "You bought the lame Pro version, what's wrong with you?"

A few comments that are common between Pro and Premium: Playfield has very little theming going on, it just seems like pictures of the AC/DC cast everywhere and lots of target lamps. The laser cut FIRE button is cool. The game plays fast and fierce. The music is repetitive, being that it is all AC/DC and that you sometimes are stuck on the same song for a while. Speech... well, there's not any, it is very quiet if you play this next to a Metallica pinball. If you're not an AC/DC fan, it might spoil this pin for you, and you'd miss out on a good playfield layout. The DMD doesn't do much... the only thing I really remember on the DMD is the Angus Young moon match game.

Finally got to play this game in the wild. It's a fun game. Had Metallica right next to it (catus jack in OKC) and found it just as fun, if not a bit better. I would love to play the prem, as I felt that both ACDC and Metallica pro's were lacking a bit of deep play and lacking good ramp shots and not the deep rule set as I played on the GNR pin. The Music quality was superior to any pin ever played. You can set you're theme song and play away. Had a good selection of Bon Scott songs too. no annoying repeat sounds. Game play was a bit generic- I've thought about buying this game, but I'm not 100% sold yet. Prehaps the prem version is a bit deeper. As far as hard rock and roll pins, between ACDC- Metallica and the GNR, GNR is still better.

Plays every bit as good as the premium version, but Angus Face just kills it for me. Thankfully its great everywhere else.

IMO this is an outstanding pinball. The flow is insane, the objectives are spot on. The integration of music into this pin is outstanding. This is not a beginner pin and will punish missed shots. I highly recommend the Swinging Bell Mod to reduce SDTM bell shots. When playing you never see Angus on the playfield as you have to stay very focused on the pinball. The art is the art, what would you expect from an AC/DC Pinball. I like LED technology used in the Display. This is by far the best pinball I've played in quite sometime. I've owned several of the Top models and think this one beats them all. Can't imagine what the LE/Premium play like, to be honest don't want to know. Don't let the you should play the Premium / LE comments sway you away from playing / owning this outstanding game.
