Not my kind of theme but an excellent machine especially if you like hard rock. Very nice playfield and artwork, nice lighting, great energy level when playing, all around great visual and audio work. Well done for the theme with good play and shots. Well worth it and can be a thrill to play but with constant play it will get repetitive after awhile. Will need a break before getting back onto it.

Got to try this today. loved the music, the fact that you can pick which song you want just makes the game more enjoyable. The bell was the only thing that annoyed me a little. Safe to say this is a LOUD machine.

One thing that stands out about this game is the shots. Totally different than any other typical stern or Williams game. I believe the rules are much deeper than most of the modern stern games so this one rates high for me. I own a Luci which has probaly the best graphics of all the models in my opinion. Definitely a top 10 game for me.

love this game. rating is lower due to artwork and game rules being a bit convoluted to me.

I have a love/hate with this pin. I was never a big AC/DC fan until I started playing this (over and over again), and now I see why they have such a huge fan base. I love the animations on this, but I HATE how the cannon obstructs your view of the outlane.

cant wait to get one, plays great, and just happens to be my favorite band! update, got an fully modded hemi premium edition and couldnt be happier with this pin. its the total package, great layout, great toys, fantastic sounds and speech, deep and rewarding rules, and a blast to play thats keeps you coming back for just one more game, until the wee hours of the morning

I've had a Luci edition for about 2 months and am still learning about the rules. It's everything advertised - fast, flow, fun, deep and absolutely brutel if you don't have excellent aim and control. The play is strong enough to overlook the artwork on the standard premium but I think the Luci edition is one of the nicest looking art packages ever.

I really enjoyed playing this pin. The LED lights are great. If you like AC/DC music, this machine is for you. The bottom Hell PF is cool, but not overly exciting. The moving bell, train ramp, and ball launcher is fun. What I enjoy the most is the different rules for different songs, keeps you thinking. AC?DC is a fast, tight, and great looking pin.

This game can be frustrating at times...AC\DC = SDTM. Lighting is great as well as the sound. Animations are super cool. I like the red powdercoat. Choosing your song is a great idea as the rules change per song. That simple fact should make this game last in a collection. I'm working on fixing that SDTM issue.

This game can really kick your arse if you're not on the ball. A really good theme and great play. 10/10.

If only I liked the artwork more, the cannon did not block the right outlane and the lower level didn't feel like a waste of space.

Still, it's a blast to shoot. Not a huge fan of the intricate scoring rules but see how that can be very fun for those who are all about "score" (hence competition play).

I can't stop playing this game! 12 kickin AC/DC songs, mad lights, and sic game play! The game is really great out of the box, but if you really want the amazing experience, you will need to put another $1,000 of parts etc. into this machine. And believe me, it's way worth it!

Added this to my collection a few days ago and can't stop staring at it when I am not playing it. I bought the Luci and so glad they went to a retro look for the cabinet and backglass. Has modern components with an old school feel. Excellent sounding and looking pin. Definitely the centerpiece of my game room. Great job! This pin would be ranked higher if ranked solely on the Luci edition. Artwork is much much better than the original!

This is for the Luci Edition.

This is the pin that is re educating me on how to play pinball. While I know as a die hard AC/DC fan that Luci has nothing to with theme - I just love the way it looks. The sound of this pin is second to none for me - especially with the powered sub. Integration of the theme overall is great, and the variety of ways you can play it, and the strategy involved in doing so boggles the mind. This is when you can keep the ball in play !! This machine can give you the biggest adrenaline rush, and have the biggest replay factor, but in the next breath can be the most vicious, brutal game I have ever played. Thus I have a love hate relationship with it. Never leaving my collection.

I hated AC/DC for a long time. And then I learned how to play it.

Whether or not you count the band as one of your favorites, it's hard not to get wrapped up in the auditory and visual spectacle that is AC/DC pinball. The playfield artwork seems too busy at first glance, but coupled with the LEDs of the premium editions, it provides an incredibly helpful guide to your next shot, along with some awesome feedback when you do something right.

The music is loud and meshes perfectly with the gameplay. I defy anyone to play AC/DC with feet firmly planted. The sound package lifts you up at just the right time, and the insults hurled by Steve Ritchie are great (if you own one, do yourself a favor and find the setting to increase the insults to maximum, which is buried in the feature menu).

But, what makes AC/DC so great is the gameplay. The shot layout is fast and flowing, which should come as no surprise, and the ability to backhand every shot is a testament to the careful design from Ritchie and his crew. The rules are insane. They seem too convoluted at first, but they're actually very easy to grasp once you understand how to light multiballs and generate song requests. But, mastering the risk/reward strategy that permeates the game is where this game gets its lasting appeal.

Do you cash in with an easy ramp shot, or do you take your chances with that dastardly set of drop targets and risk losing it all? Use your VIPs to help light shots, or save them to salvage your multiball? Do you start your multiball right away or try to stack? Do you risk the randomness of the kickout to change your song before you start multiball? These are the decisions the game constantly forces you to make, and it's one of the reasons it has cemented itself as an all-time classic.

The new Luci artwork is just icing on the cake. AC/DC purists are quick to point out that the theme is only loosely related to the band, but the artwork looks truly fantastic, and pictures just can't do the deep reds justice. And who knows... with AC/DC heading back to the studio, maybe we will soon see the connection.

If you already love AC/DC, then you don't need any convincing from me. But if you don't care for it, as I did at first, I implore you to watch Bowen Kerins' tutorial, look up the rule sheet, and then play it for about 30 minutes. I guarantee you will be hooked.

In short, AC/DC is a modern classic, and one that is never leaving my collection.
