What is it?
If you've lost your user name or password you won't be able to sign in anymore. In this help text we will tell you how you can reset your password.
First things first
This help text assumes that you've already created a Pinside account. Go here to read how you can create one.
How does it work?
If you visit 'My Pinside' section without being signed in, you will find a 'Forgot your password' box. In this box you can fill out the email address you used when you joined the Pinside. If the address matches the one in our database, an email will be send to the email address you specified. This should take no more than a few minutes. The email contains your user details. To make sure users can't disable each others password, the old, forgotten password will still work as well.
Why did you send me a new password?
To respect the privacy and security of our users, passwords are stored in our database using one-way encryption. We don't have access to any passwords and therefor cannot send them to you. However, you can change your new, automatically created password in the 'My Pinside' section on your 'Profile' page.
What if I can't remember my email address anymore?
You don't know the email address you used to register to the Pinside or you don't use this email address anymore? In this case you should contact us and we will reset the password for you. Note that it's important that you remember and specify your Pinside user name in the contact form, because else we won't know which account to reset.
I never received my password. What should I do?
If you didn't receive an email with your password after you signed
up, please check your spam filter folder. If you still do not receive the
password reminder, your account is probably associated with a
different email address. You may want to check any alternative email
addresses you use or use the 'contact us' instructions specified above.
