Zipper flippers! Lovem! Don't think they are really tough to maintain (not any tougher than the rest of the stuff on my EM), and they look great! Better than a "post" going up and down between your flippers and they really change your shots by the different angles....fun challenge. Here's my kid playing Dixieland.
