Preparations are well underway for this year's Zapcon, to be held the weekend of April 25-26! We'd love for you to be part of the show!

    WANT TO BE A CONTRIBUTOR?

Be a part of Zapcon by bringing arcade games or pinball machines! We had another huge show last year with approximately 350 games, lots of fun tournaments, exhibitions, and activities, and I hope we can count on your support to keep the momentum going for this year. As always, in exchange for contributing to the show you qualify for the following incentives:

    - A weekend pass for each working game you bring
    - All the benefits of pre-registration, including early admission
    - Access to the Contributor Only preview night (Friday, April 24)
    - A free Zapcon t-shirt if you bring 5 or more games
    - For each game you bring, you'll get a ticket for a drawing to win a FREE ARCADE GAME
    - An exclusive "contributor" keepsake name badge
    - A golden opportunity to sell or trade games

Most importantly you’ll be part of the Zapcon team, and gain the respect and admiration of your peers that you so richly deserve!

If you wish to contribute, simply send an email to kaydee.helm [at] zapcon [dot] com, and let us know what you'd like to commit to bringing.

WANT A BRAND NEW PINBALL MACHINE ON THE CHEAP?
In previous years, Zapcon, Marco Specialties, and Stern Pinball have teamed up to offer show discounted Stern pinball machines for pre-sale. We hope to be able to do this again this year, and we will update you when we have final information about pricing and availability, as well as who to contact.

    WANT TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

Zapcon thrives on its volunteers! In exchange for five hours of your time, you get a weekend pass (including access to the contributor night on Friday April 24)! Email us at volunteer [at] zapcom [dot] com to help out in whatever way you can. You don’t need to be an expert in flippers or motherboards, either! We’re looking for folks to help check out games in the console lounge, make sure there are plenty of credits on arcade machines, and all sorts of other stuff. The more the merrier!

Please get back to us and let us know what games you’d like to bring this year, and if you're interested in the Stern Pinball deal, or if you would like to be a volunteer.

We take a lot of pride in our humble event, and we hope you do because it is YOUR event too. We can’t do it without you.

    Warm regards,
    The CGPS crew

Hello Everyone! Just confirming that we will be attending the Zapcon show this year as Arizona's Stern Pinball dealer, and we will be offering show discounts from now up to the show. If you want to get your hands on a new game, you can call us and we will get you down on the list.
Most games are in stock now, some will not be as the show gets closer, so reserve one asap.
We also carry commercial Air Hockey Tables, Foosball, Skee Ball, etc.
Looking forward to Zapcon this year!
Thank you to Rachel Bess for the invite as well

Arizona Pinball and Pot of Gold Estate Auctions will be attending this year as well and with us, we will finally be bringing premium pins to Zapcon and Arizona! We are both Jersey Jack as well as Chicago Gaming dealers for Arizona. We accept trades of arcades, as well as pins, towards any machines we carry which saves you the TAX! We are also an auction house and can consign any items you may have, so if you're an operator or Arcade and need to circulate some games, give us a call! As such, we also obtain numerous other machines in trade, sometimes NIB machines from other manufacturers for insane great prices and pass the savings onto you all! We can sell to Operators, Arcades, Barcades, Home Collectors, anyone. No need to order online anymore or lie to route your pins because the local dealers wont sell to you if you wanted to put them in an arcade or use them for commercial use! We will also be hosting coin-op only auctions very soon to help circulate the market out here and help all the new operators and Barcades opening all over! Ryan White from CGC will also be attending with us this year and is offering to help us out!!! Stay tuned for details....

For anyone interested in a new Stern Pinball machine at a show discount, contact Gameroom Goodies (see a couple posts above). As with prior show discount purchases, this counts as bringing a game to the show and gives you all of the contributor benefits!

A quick update from the ZapCon team regarding COVID-19:

We're not sure what things will look like in 6 weeks, and we are monitoring the situation.

Based on the trajectory of things we do not recommend making any sort of travel or housing arrangements at this time, and we won't be putting tickets on sale until we feel confident the event will be held.

Today, following the guidance of the CDC regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Mesa announced they are closing the Mesa Convention Center through April 30, 2020. This means that Zapcon 8, scheduled for April 25-26th, 2020, is cancelled.

Unfortunately, we don't see any viable rescheduling options for this year, and will be turning our attention towards coming back better than ever in 2021. While it saddens us that we won't be able to put on a great show for you this year, this is clearly the correct decision given the severity of the current situation and the risks that would be associated with the show at this time.

We are ever grateful for the tremendous support we've received from the entire community over the life of our show. Zapcon doesn't exist without the support of the contributors, the vendors, the volunteers, and our attendees. We want to thank you for your past and continued support.

Zapcon is produced by the Classic Games Preservation society, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and sharing the classic arcade and pinball experience to all. As you might expect, losing the show this year will put a strain on the financial side of things. For those who want to support the show in 2021 and beyond, we will be announcing some ways you can help, look for that as we work out the details.

Again, thank you for your support in these difficult circumstances. Above all, keep yourselves and each other safe.

I guess the bright side is it’s looking like people will have a lot of free time to get their games ready for next year.
