Just like the title says, if you had a $1000 what pin would you be looking for?

I currently have a few EM's and I'm starting to look for my first non-EM. The fiance' gave me the go ahead, and my current budget is a $1000. Doesn't have to look pretty! It can be missing paint and have some serious player ware but it's gotta be mostly functional. And it has to be within a 3 hour radius of the western-central PA area.

    Quoted from SilverBallz:

She’s not even your wife yet and you need her to give you permission? That’s a first.

I don't need the permission. It's about respect. We're paying for a wedding, so it would be pretty shitty of me to drop a grand on something un-wedding related without at least discussing it.

Living near you, few solid state titles come up for sale in the 1K range. The Bedford arcade closed and the owner was selling everything, don't know what's left. I picked up a working Bally Playboy with a beat PF but nice BG for 1K in Clearfield a few months ago. Early Bally solid state games would be a good choice. Depending on your skill level, non-working unrestored project games were selling for $500-600 at York this year.

All over his stuff is gone now. Loved going there and playing.

I've had a few wanted ads out looking for a Flash. But haven't had any bites yet!

Where can you get a high speed for under 1k?

Or a Black Knight. I'd be all over that!

A players High Speed. Or come up to Western Mass and buy my $900 Arena.

How do you like that Arena? There's one in the area for a $1250 asking price.

I found a nice playing pinbot on Craigslist for 1k. I play that game all the time.

That sounds like a great deal!

    Quoted from Dom1:

An option you might not have thought of is doing a trade for some of your current machines + the cash you have for something you might really enjoy.

I'd be all for that. However, it seems like people that have SS and newer machines aren't interested in EM's.

You can always buy my Devil's Dare...hell, I'll even give you back 50.00 change!

Looks like you’re too far away!

There's a Hot Shots a few hours away that's pretty nice and works well for $900. And a Cue Ball Wizard that has some cosmetic issues and a board that gets hot if left on for $1200.
I had someone on here message me about a Blackout and I was very interested. But he appears to have had a change of heart, or fallen off the face of the earth.
    That's where I am currently.

Any chance you're planning on going to the Allentown show in May? I imagine $1k could get you something fun.

We're planning on it! But nothing nailed down yet. We're also planning on going to the Ohio Show next month. Do you need to buy Ohio Show tickets ahead of time?

I would buy a players condition space shuttle ..just a great game ..picked the up for 1000 and put some tlc into it ..

I'd be all over a Space Shuttle. Looks like a great game!

    Quoted from Frippertron:

Herk, if that was a Gottlieb Hot Shots for $900. Check it out! Seriously underrated game, it's a lot of fun. Tons of drops, flowing ramps and loops, and multiball. Some people don't care for the carnival theme but once you get past that, the game is a player.

It's a little bit of a trip to get, but it looks pretty good. Especially for the asking price. I think if it's still there this weekend I'm going to make the trip.

I ended up saving up and getting a beautiful SF2 for $1600. It was the one pin I’d been hoping to end up with some day but didn’t think it would happen for a few years.
