I am new to x-Men and have been working on various strategies so I thought I would put out a post to hear from others on their X-Men scoring strategies. I do not intend this to be a rules thread as there are already those, simply an outline of you strategy such as:

1) make all x-Men shots
2) start Magneto multiball
3) work on hero modes
4) shoot combos
5) start danger room

I understand that my example may not be technically accurate as it was only meant to be an example of an outline. I am really trying to learn the game and thought others would benefit from an outline format of different scoring strategies as well.

What is your scoring strategy?

Moved to playing tips sub forum.

I will post some of my strats later. One thing for sure, avoid Weapon X till you have villain mode started and stack it. People complain about how easy Weapon X is to start, they miss the key is not starting it till you have a villain going or you waste it.

A few things I try to implement to boost the score:

Have as many X-Men Hero modes at least started (completing not required) prior to playing Magneto multiball. If all of the Heroes have been started (blinking at minimum), every shot during Magneto is 1MIL.

Stack villain modes (except BH, HF cannot stack) with Weapon-X at the beginning, but don't specifically focus on this too much since later Weapon-X modes require an inordinate number of shots later in the game to start. In later multiballs, as the number of Wolverine shots starts getting closer to 2 from stray balls or missed shots elsewhere, then focus on restacking.

Stack Villain modes with Magneto when getting closer to Magneto multiball. Sentinels for example is a decent one to stack.

Pay attention to when Hellfire and Brotherhood targets are solid so those Villain multiballs can be played. Stray balls usually light Brotherhood easier than Hellfire.

Don't ignore completing Hero modes. There are lots of points in there and of course the extra ball at 3 complete and Nightcrawler points.

Same thing with Villain modes-completion is good. Lots of points for winning some of those modes. Stacking with a multiball can be tricky if you don't have the patterns memorized (Think of what happens when a mode is stacked with a multiball in LOTR for example)

Hit the Blackbird scoop when lit for potential end of ball higher Bonus X rewards. (Get good at trapping the ball when it is ejected)

Win Danger Room (Any mini wizard mode should naturally give a lot of points, so I would not call this a "strategy". It would be like saying keep the ball in play for more points)

That's what I have off the top of my head.
