For me, the actual pickup was fine, but…
I was on PA turnpike from Harriburg to Bedford exit. About 7 miles from exit, my check tire pressure light starts flashing. I’m at 25psi.
6 miles: 21 psi
5 miles: 19
4 miles 17
3 miles: 15
2 miles 13
1 mile: 12
Exit: 11 psi
I pull off the exit determined to make a gas station.
That’s when I hit a backed-up convoy of trucks at a standstill on the exit ramp. It’s a Trump rally!!!
10…9…8…7…6…
I get off the ramp and pull into the first gas station with gage at 4psi. At this point, I’m already late for my pickup and it is 5:40pm.
I call around to tire shops and find one about 7 miles away that is closing at 6pm. (Everyone else is already closed). I try putting air in…forget it. Fastest donut change I’ve ever made. Call tire shop back…say I’m on my way, please stay open.
Get there at 6:03. They have a crew of guys there ready to help. Get the tire repaired. Tip them an extra $50 for staying open.
Get to the pickup about 1hr late, and that’s where I met my future bride.
BPBOT, that is.
