It's extremely dated now, but Airplane! remains incredibly funny.
"Oh, stewardess, I speak jive"
"We have clearance, Clarence." "Roger, Roger." "What's our vector, Victor?"
"Oh, it's a big white plane with wheels and it looks like a big Tylenol."
Quoted from The_Gorilla:Close 2nd: This is Spinal Tap
Good call on the Tap. Watch the movie with commentary....funnier than the original.

You didn’t order the metallic peat?
Quoted from fisherdaman:I cant start a ski season without watching this movie.. I would say its the most watched movie in our chalet[quoted image]
Always one of my favorites. It doesn't get much love from anyone else but I die laughing watching it. So many great scenes. Love the spinning car gag.
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Seconded
Thirded....They do the entire commentary in character...it's hilarious.

Never go full retard.....Should be Pinside's Mantra.
In Michigan, we love our "Up North" and when we go up north and it's been too shitty to go outside, we've watched "The Great Outdoors", "Uncle Buck" and the original "Vacation" for 30+ years. They're always great for laughs and never get old. Love Fletch too from that era.
From the early 2000's, I'll take Anchorman and Old School.
As for something a bit more contemporary, I'll go with The Hangover. It's the last great mainstream comedy, in my opinion. It's not PC or "Woke" in any way to ruin the comedy. Has lines and scenes that I'll never forget.
Sam Elliot having fun at the double douche
Not a traditional comedy but I laugh thru the whole movie
ROADHOUSE!

Good call, not a Stiller fan but that movie is excellent on so many levels. Cruise's best role
Pineapple Express
40 Year Old Virgin
Superbad
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Not Another Teen Movie
Quoted from fisherdaman:Superbad
I couldn't help but laugh my ass off to this movie while traveling on an international flight for work. Got several dirty looks from people trying to sleep. Watched it again with my wife a few months later and she said it (I) was juvenile. Felt a little vindicated though when the CEO of the multi-billion $ company I worked for told me he also thought it was hysterical.
Twelfth Night
A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Live theatre has a spontaneity and an audience involvement that film and tv just can’t capture. Each performance is a unique moment with an immediate energy.
