I am pretty new to pinball. As far as diving all-in as a hobby and interest. I mean, I've played pinball, especially as a kid and teen back in the 70s and 80s, but I have just recently been ignited with a passion for the entire concept of pinball. The art, the varied gameplay all of it.

And it got me thinking... what license or theme would you want to see made into a table that is nowhere to be found?

For me, being a child of that era, I would think a Wacky Packages Machine would be uhhhhhhhMAZING.

There are a ton of options for humor and art. As for gameplay, the imaginative mind conjures up some vivid possibilities.

I have a short wishlist of others, too. Cheers (the TV show), Mystery Science Theater 3000, and Heroes of Might & Magic (III or IV, your choice), lead the pack.

So... what are some of yours?

    Welcome!

As a someone who's big into video gaming, I'd love to see a proper Legend of Zelda pinball machine. There's a lot of untapped potential, thematically for pinball, in the gaming industry imho.

    #3 2 years ago

    Castle Wolfenstein
    Darksiders
    Predator
    The Running Man
    Blade Runner

I am getting my first one hopefully soon Alien LE

    #4 2 years ago

I'd buy an MST3K pinball immediately. I might even *gasp* preorder one.

    #5 2 years ago

    what does that mean?

    #6 2 years ago

    Mystery Science Theater 3000.
MST3K would be one of the only machines where the toys would be an absolute must.

    #7 2 years ago

I hate to say this but I would buy a Rick and Morty machine IF the machine was made by Stern, as long as the game was not poorly designed or no fun at all...

HAVING SAID THAT, my requirement would be that I can play the game first and even then, I would not buy it until I FELT that the code/game was done, and not listen to whatever the masses were spewing about the game.

Oh, and I could care less if the inserts start ghosting or the cabinet falls apart, I would just fix it myself if Stern couldn't resolve those issues. It would feel just like back in the Bally/Williams days when those things happened! Ultimate retro 90's throwback.

    Big Trouble in Little China

A legit Transformers (with models from the 80s)

    Goonies

    SLAYER

    #11 2 years ago

    Music pins ftw!
I think a Dio machine would be the most bad ass pinball game ever made. Or even cooler, an 80's hard rock & heavy metal mashup machine.

    #12 2 years ago

    Hell yeah!

Ok, yea... as a huge Dio fan (Rainbow, Sabbath, solo... doesn't matter...) I'd go for this in a heartbeat.

Atari_Daze, my apologies; new round here. I should have thought to search for similar topics.
    Thank you for the links!

I'd be interested in this too - but as with most licenses I'd be interested in, I'd want the creator involved to help with the 'story' of the game and provide unique voice work for it. Just taking available media and making a game out of it is always a let down.

    #21 2 years ago

For me it would be iron maiden, jaws, ghost Rider, blade runner, motley Crue, queen, pink Floyd, and the good the bad and the ugly

really any of those westerns but that one is the best.

    #23 2 years ago

I am going to go with a RUSH machine. Pipe dream for sure.

    #24 2 years ago

Another one I think would be cool is an old TSR AD&D pin. Something like their early 80s board game Dungeon!

I realize there are a *lot* of fantasy themed tables out there already, but they could do something special with the daddy of all RPGs, I would think.

    #25 2 years ago

    In order:

    The Matrix
    Blade Runner
    a GOOD Star Wars

Fast and the Furious, or Expendables would be at the top of my list. Right after Iron Maiden

    #32 2 years ago

I hate to go with another music pin but it would have to be a Tool themed pin

Ok, now I know that the CIA is tapping my communications, because those are all games that some friends and I have been sketching up and planning, now that we have access to a CNC mill and some spare time....

BTiLC is my current infatuation, but we were just talking yesterday about using original G1 Transformer toys for playfield elements.

Love the movie, but NOT sure if it's pin material. Be alright maybe...

    #39 2 years ago

Who cares if these topics keep coming back. I love daydreaming about this stuff. Mine is Battlestar Galactica, old or new series, I don't care which.

    #40 2 years ago

    Masters of the Universe

I think that would be such a kickass retro theme, based on the cartoon of course. The colors on the playfield & cabinet would be off the charts. Just imagine the backglass alone. Transform into He-Man & Battle Cat, start multiball & battle Skeletor for Castle Greyskull. So awesome, so much potential IMO.

If I had the skills to do a total re-theme of an early 80's Bally, this would be my first choice., because it will never happen otherwise.

Exactly. Because it looks like the days of the actual pinball manufacturers being creative is long gone.

Might as well be the pinsiders telling them what they are willing to fork over their 1000s of $s for.

    #42 2 years ago

Or Godzilla: King of Monster Island....fighting all the classic monsters of the 70's

    Quoted from Bohdi:

Keanu Reeves has already appeared on several other machines so why not? Not sure Swayze's ever been on one yet.

I guess if they were doing one with only Lori Petty in mind they could always go with Tank Girl.
