Now that summer is here, what are you doing instead of pinball?
My #2 is fishing. I can always shoot a pin game or two when the weather is foul.

Quoted from northerndude:GOLF, Lake, Beer, in no particular order
(drinking) beer makes all hobbies better! However, if you MAKE beer as a hobby, then by all means include it as your second!
I do brew my own beer but don’t have fancy equipment so I will probably pick it back up when the weather cools. Also play hockey. Sold my super jet last summer because I wasn’t riding it much. Should of bought a MMr, haha.

Amen....
Quoted from Bos98:Summer time is convertible time![quoted image]
Drove around in a 26' Studebaker convertible...now I kinda want to ditch the coinop hobby and get an antique vehicle....Well I've wanted one for decades, but the biggest thing is I'd lose my garage spot, as I know the wife wouldn't give up her's..
I enjoy taking the FJ40 (restoration project from a couple years ago) to the occasional car show and I also try to get one or two trips out West in. Pic is from last year's family guys trip -- you'll have to guess which one is me (Hint: not the person in the car!)
5J5A0018 (resized).JPG5J5A0447 (resized).JPG5J5A1084 (resized).JPGAs a piano tuner, business is lighter in the summer, and I have more time to work on pins. Summer temperatures also allow me to use the garage for seal-coating backglasses and cabinet spray painting, which won’t work in winter. So I guess I’m in the minority, but pinball is an even bigger hobby for me in summer. Am I the only one???
We love boating, traveling with our camper, baseball, fishing, flying and season passes to our local amusement park. We still hang out and play the pins, usually while watching baseball in our bar.
Gun Club...shoot..then we drink beer...summer time we drink more beer. (we may not even take the guns out of the case).

Wow. I never thought of that. You might not be the only one, but certainly not the majority!. Summer is also the best time to lay a set of wrinkled plnball plastics between two sheets if playfield glass. Over the course of a day in the sun your plastics will become nice and flat.

That's exactly what I did last fall. A 1930 Ford Phaeton Model A now resides in the spot I used to park my truck in, but it's well worth it.

I’ve seen John’s Model A, it’s even sweeter in person!
My 2000 Camaro SS 6 speed
I've owned this car for 16 years. I bought it Feb. of 2003 with 23,000 miles and it currently has 44,000 miles
Quoted from gliebig:Almost had an ace tonight.[quoted image]
Did you make the putt?
I love golf as well.... never experienced the joy of a hole in one.
Quoted from schudel5:Taking this 45 Willys to car shows. Won my 4th trophy at this show last weekend.[quoted image]
Nice looking Willy Mike. Is it Gilmore's your going to?
John
I'm not sure if either of them are hobbies, but two of my favorite things are casually tossing a frisbee and cliff jumping into a lake or river. Nothing crazy for the cliff jumping (10-25 feet is enough).
Quoted from wolverinetuner:I’ve seen John’s Model A, it’s even sweeter in person!
Thanks, I'm really happy to have found the car....it was pure luck that we met again after 30 years....
John

Thanks, John! No this show was in Alamo. Not going to Gilmore until August.
Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:We've got season tickets.
Great year to have them! Enjoy the game against the future Montreal Rays.
Quoted from grantopia:That and patio beer and bourbon. Is that a hobby?
I will second the motion to make patio beer and bourbon a hobby.
I live in Florida, so pinball is the summer indoor hobby. I try and do my outdoor activities in the winter and I try not to even go outside from May to October.
Quoted from cosmokramer:Summer is SS season...[quoted image]
Nice. Just heard the Camaro will be discontinued again soon.
Quoted from dug:Did you make the putt?

I did.
I've had one hole in one. That was a killer hangover day.
If I had one. It would be lying on a chaise lounge at a beach, back propped up. A tropical drink in a coconut with a paper umbrella and a bendy straw. Watching sharks get the swimmers. One an hour would be nice. And a Horga'hn on a table next to me.
LTG : )
My other hobby and man this one gets messy..

Awesome. I have a 78 fj40
Cruising lakeshore on the lowrider, keepin’ an eye out for smokey in the TA.
Patio beer drinkin’ and concerts when I can get a sitter.
Perfect summer!
Quoted from gliebig:Almost had an ace tonight.[quoted image]
Nice!
That looks like a SLOW hairy green.
I love golf as well. (I am a golf pro at a club in northern California)
Edit: just noticed Aces are being mentioned. I have 2. The best of the 2 was at Bandon Trails in Bandon, Oregon.
I’m really big into community theater. Currently a lead in a local show.
I have a feeling this might be unique.
