I like to get out in the mountains, by foot or bike. Summer's pretty short in PNW so much less active in pinball post our early summer show here.

Got above the clouds this past weekend... okay, they weren't that high though...

Sometimes I get lucky and can enjoy both hobbies, like during my TPF trip earlier this year...

For the past five years, I have done a mission trip each summer to Kenya Africa (3 times) and Matanzas Cuba (2 times ).

I do fund raising to pay for someone to go with me that can't afford it. And I generally sell one of my pins to pay for my part of the trip.

Sadly, I don't get to this year, because my 18 year old daughter is doing a trip with the wife to the Dominican

I got into target archery. All styles. Recurves are my favorite but I shoot compounds and English Longbow as well. You can really get obsessed with the sport. Tons of customization to be done and great for kids too. I originally wanted a hobby that my daughter and I could do together and I got lucky finding archery. Highly recommended!

My primary hobby (which I actually do year round) is running. With my race schedule for fall I am ramping up my mileage now.

Ha, you're more right than you know. I was hiking with someone from Ohio and she called them clouds so I went with that, but yeah, it felt more like fog to me.

Got another year or two of home improvements before I buy a toyhauler/camper and some ORVS...

In the meantime, I am thinking about getting into this as a cheap hobby!

Maybe i’ll even find some pinballs?

I can't tell from that angle, is that a GS or GST?

Years ago I had a Spyder GST modded to the gills pushing about 390 to the wheels. Then I smashed into a concrete barrier.

I enjoy fly fishing but this year is difficult because of our record snowfall this past winter. All of the reservoirs in Colorado are increasing their release flows to get prepared for the melt off. I have been out several times now and instead of using a fly I feel like I need a spinner. Time to go Bass fishing I guess until the stream flow simmers down.

Hope to have some real hobby time once the new house is done - sadly it's mostly just work right now.

Aside from the pins, I will wander back to my range at least every two weeks or so. Wife enjoys it too. It's all AR500 steel. Last time out we shot my .500 S&W Mag. Holy cow that handgun is fun to shoot! 2,700 foot/lbs of energy at the muzzle. Like pulling the trigger on three .44 mags all at the same time.

When not doing that, I enjoy (like many others in this thread) driving or racing the convertible.

Same here. Spending a couple days a week on the river in the summer .

Most of my summer is spent here! Fortunate enough to live on the lake!

I find myself going inside more and working on Pins. To damn hot outside.

I make my own hot sauce, all ingredients grown in my backyard. It's good stuff, popular with my friends and family.

summer hobby = making fun of friends that can sit through a whole game of baseball. Bored, Bored, Bored.
i find it funny that so often they will just put it on in the background while they do other things. what other sport can you do that with? So Bored...

My alternate hobby is really year round but it does help keep my wrists supple for pinball...

Spend time here at our cabin- on an island 13 miles out in middle of Lac La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Its frickin' beautiful. The water in front is in a bay 1.3 miles long and 150 yards across - inside a 4 mile across island. Water = like this ALL the time. Solar power, generator if we need it (rarely) and almost all the amenities one would need!!

Quoted from northerndude:

Same that I enjoy. The wilderness. I'm sure I'd also spend much time there..
For me, it's almost pinball/arcade is my alternate hobby. If not for the N.Y.
Winters, I'd be outdoors mostly all my spare time..
I really like metal detecting, (and my cars), but since I bought the property,
that's where I spent the better portion of the good weather days..
Over the years, I turned a (literally) swamp into a park. New for this year is
a 20' unbrella that was givin' to me (top should be here next week), and the
Game Time "Pull-a-Way" Merry-go-Round (30s or 40s) which I picked up quite a
few years back, but just got to restoring it last Fall. I spend much of the Summer
(both work and pleasure) down below at the pond..

No time for hobbies. Spend most the summer doing yard work and home renovations. Then end it off with a 5 day trip to the beach.
