Young Loud and Snotty in Atlantic Beach FL

YLS now has 4 pinball machines (the most in one location in the 904 area code: Jacksonville FL area).

ACDC Pro (LED'd, clear rings, saturn flipper rings)
Dr Dude (LED'd, some clear rings and saturn flipper rings)
The Shadow (LED'd, some clear rings and saturn flipper rings)
X-Files (LED'd, some clear rings and saturn flipper rings)

Trying hardness 2 Saturn flipper rings on X-files, REALLY enjoy them so far, great energy transfer.

I love that you named your place after the first Dead Boys album!

#3 10 years ago

Yes it is, Dale the owner is a huge punk rock fan and plays in a local band called The Reachers.

Lately to me it occurred that the name kinda sounds like a funky child care center too haha.

#4 10 years ago

You've got some nice alternate translites there too! Nice to see a Shadow out on location.

#5 10 years ago

Those translites make the games POP! and the Shadow's game play has gone up since install,
TBD how much better ACDC does with the new art.

Hey HighProtein, any news of upcoming tables you're trading out? I think we've had The Shadow for a while now and while the backglass is epic I think something has to go

What are you looking for?

- Another Data East been waiting a bit for Jurassic Park / Last Action Hero
- Mousin' Around
- Maybe even a Party Zone to put next to your Dr. Dude

#14 9 years ago

I like mousin' around.

LAH is pretty cool, lots of stuff messing with the ball, and many (scoop-driven) modes. I got a great deal on one, a good friend went above-and-beyond in shopping it (tumbled all metal parts, etc.) and it became his 50th BD present. JP is a fun shooting game. Mousin' around is fun but a bit limited in shots/gameplay, IMO. (I played a lot of Mousin' around--in erman--at the Stuttgart train station in summer of '90.) Party Zone and Dr Dude are both fun!

I like Mousin' Around.

The reason MA is one of my favorite machines is because of the flow and fast paced action involved in it. You have to react quickly to the ball exiting the ramps and you have to be strategic to collect the Jackpot during Multiball (lock 2 balls then shoot the right ramp to collect). Also it has awesome music - who doesn't like 80's pop-rock?!

#17 9 years ago

I'd LOVE to route Mousin' Around in a pet shop!

#18 9 years ago

Dr Dude will move elsewhere eventually...
Probably Fish Tales to replace it.

#19 9 years ago

Looks like a great place. Thanks for putting quality games out there for the public!

#20 9 years ago

That's awesome! I wish you could have opened this place when I lived right by Aqua East.

Good luck!

#21 9 years ago

They opened in late 2010.
The market for record buyers and pinball playing grows.
Almost and hand here.

Dale does his best with the shop and I do my best with the Pins.

Isn't Dr. Dude enough early 90s nostalgia for everyone?
