John Byrne comic artist. Pin. Not for everyone. But I would like one.

    Wu Tang
    Dolemite
    Death Wish 3
Golden Girls - but it must include a Blanche gang bang multiball

    Quoted from DaWezl:

Princess Bride, only it has to have Wallace Shawn call outs insulting you the whole time.

I feel like i read somewhere on here that Stern had the license for that already.

Of course, that doesn't mean it's actually coming or that it will be good, unfortunately, but I'm trying to remain hopeful. Keith Elwin's the Princess Bride, perhaps?

I think Donnie Darko could be worked into a pretty cool theme...

    Pinky and the Brain

That would be a great idea, even for a custom machine or a retheme. Would need to have a Chia Earth mode and a battle Snowball wizard mode.

    #57 2 years ago

The Darkness would be an insta-buy for me! Needs "I'm going solo" mode with music from HotLeg and Stonegods.

Glad to see some appreciation for this fun band out there. One of my favorites.

    #58 2 years ago

I'll say this, all religion aside, Heck's Bible idea would be a cool theme. So much to pull from!

    #59 2 years ago

I'd really like to see Futurama and Rick & Morty, but I carry the caveat that I'd want the original writers/voice cast involved in making the games to give them the proper sound/style.

    #60 2 years ago

    Farscape
    Firefly
    Westworld
    Enter the Dragon
    Bloodsport

I agree, the Bible could be a huge seller. Not my interest unless I've got stock in the company

    Wonder Woman
    Tool Time
    Monsters vs Aliens
    The Incredibles

Yeah, I agree. The callouts would be pretty great too. Brain saying..."Yeeeessss!" or Pinky yelling... "Narf!", "Zort!, Poit!, Troz!, Gat!" as the ball is bouncing around the pop bumpers. I think the main portion of the playfield should be a blueprint which then fades into other areas of Acme Labs. Since posting that last night, I've been trying to think of how modes could be implemented. I think it's fairly obvious to each mode be a plan to take over the world, but I think it would need to be programmed in a way where you can never really succeed. Every mode ultimately ends in failure.

    Nine Inch Nails

I think several John Carpenter films would translate well to pinball:
    They Live
    The Thing
    Halloween
    Big Trouble in Little China

    Alfred Hitchcock
    Back to the Future (remake)
    Jaws
    Blade Runner
    Ready Player One
    Pulp Fiction

A fond, cough...cough, memory of these guys and Bill Gaines in the offices of Mad!
(My godmothers son in law was editor)
Crazy as Shit! people in the late 70s, early 80s.

Im knot a fan, but Slipknot would be controversial!

Elric of Melnibone or basically anything from the Eternal Champion Series

Would they do a Corum, Count Brass, Elric ??

Michael Moorcock inspired Blue Oyster Cults song Black Blade maybe a good title.

Well JJP did a great job on WOZ how about another classic like chitty chitty bang bang??

    #73 2 years ago

    Meat wad pop bumpers.

    #74 2 years ago

Elric. Someday that needs to be properly filmed.
Like game of thrones is now.

Just saw them again, as I always do when they come through. What a great show. The mixing of Primus and Clutch fans was also highly amusing to an old asshole like myself. Could tell who liked which flavor of party from fifty feet away.

I would get a kick out of a completely blacked-out game with strobes, a NiN logo backglass and a Head Like A Hole multiball.

Ive had to retire from Concert days...Eardrum finally went out at an Earth Day Birthday Marathon show.

My son is into techno, and took him to excision...what got me was your quote being True...Being amused because Im an Old Asshole!

I found it funny that the "Dancing" was "Head Banging", and many could not even do that in Rhythm..but then, thats Orlando,
and I usually went down to Lauderdale or Miami for shows....huge diff.

Saw this show as well in Pittsburgh. I'm a big fan of both bands and was amazed it took them this long to tour together. From my perspective there is a lot of crossover fandom for both bands. Touring together made perfect sense to me.

In Pittsburgh that's more understandable but in Lancaster (AKA Amishville) the crowd was clearly split between well-worn tweakers and smoothed-out burners and they really didn't look like they wanted to be around each other. I'm no stranger to just about any scene you can come up with so it didn't bother me but the show I saw didn't mesh.

It didn't help the venue/sound reinforcement wasn't remotely designed for Clutch's sound. Primus was nice and crisp but the first two thirds of Clutch's set were dirtier than a New Jersey beach. Attitudes compounded by alcohol and oppressive security were brought to the forefront as well.

    Original American Gladiators
    Beavis and Butthead
    Ren and Stimpy
WWE (this time better, and with attitude era theme)
    Lego movie
    Super Mario Galaxy
    Trailer Park Boys

    #83 2 years ago

Other then the licensing nightmare, there are so many good cartoons, Id wonder if they could do
a Cartoon Mania.....kinda like Monster Bash.....A section for Beavis and Butthead, a Wren and Stimpy Mode,
Rick and Morty in the corner, Aqua Team Bonus, a Futurama Rocket, etc....man they would have one very large audience!

I've always wanted a psychotic food with faces themed table with art by Cuddly Rigor Mortis aka Kristin Tercek.

Also a title I want that other probably DO want is Adventure Time, penned by the same artist (see below for peppermint butler in his perfect madness!)

I could design one with my own art style or even mimic her's, but ultimately rather have her actual artwork. Sadly most of her current work is waaaaaaay to far into the cute realm. But I really like the dark on cute from her earlier work.

If anyone is serious about one I am looking for a new re-theme project. Thinking maybe Smokey and the Bandit, Dukes of Hazzard, or your choice?? I've done a bunch in the past and have great references...Jaws, Gremlins, NoDoubt, Springsteen, NY Yankees, etc

Endless modes, world class call outs, amazing art. Hollow?

    Hollow.

Any of these would be cool to me and I assume all are quite unlikely to ever happen, so they're dream worthy.

    TV shows:

    Twin Peaks
    Mystery Science Theater 3000
    The Wire
    Babylon 5
    Monty Python's Flying Circus

    Anime/manga:

    Fist of the North Star
    Dragon Ball
    Berserk
    One Piece
    Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

    Video Games:

    Dark Souls
    Metal Gear Solid
    Resident Evil
    Half-Life
    Castlevania
    Silent Hill
    The Witcher
    Doom
    Pokemon

    HBO series - "Deadwood"

Ha! If you turned the profanity setting off, the game would have virtually no sounds at all.

    #92 2 years ago

Of everything listed so far, I think Beavis & Butthead would have the best chance of "Old Fart" commercial success. Me included!

    #93 2 years ago

ZZ Top could be cool. Loved their 80's videos. Lots of great songs to pull from. A ton of great ideas already listed.

Seems right up the list on Stern's geezer line, so wouldn't be surprised if this is on their books. I wish this would have been made over aerosmith or almost any of their recent music titles. Plus Gibbons' is a great car guy, think the art and playfield has a lot of potential.
