Well, I've owned a LOTR since the first week I started collecting pins about 4 years ago. I've thought many times about selling my LOTRLE because I don't play it much but every time I do play I have fun.

If memory serves me, I had never actually completed Fellowship Multiball until tonight. It was a great feeling getting all my guys across that bridge!

Overall, had a decent game though I flailed miserably on DTR and was only one mode away from started TABA. (I've only done both in one game before). Final score was about 78 million which wasn't good enough to put in my name but that is a great thing about LOTR - more about advancement and less about score.

Anyhow, just felt like sharing something which, for me, was a pretty good accomplishment.

LOTR will never leave and "You shall not pass" is one of the main reasons. I rarely get everyone across the bridge, but the rush from doing so is not often replicated in pinball. Indeed a great moments. Congrats on the accomplishment.

One of the best multiballs ever!

I completed FM for the first time just a few weeks ago (I’ve owned it for, I don’t, forever). Man, that was awesome! I got my high score on that game - around 208M. Got to TABA, too.

Since I installed a color LED display, it has really injected new life into it.

Had mine about a year now... still haven't got everyone across the bridge yet. But sure is fun trying.

Question on destroy the ring. I've had the ball locked in the ring and was able to shoot the second ball in and knock it out but that didn't destroy it. What am I missing?

Had mine for 3 years. DOn't think I ever everyone across the bridge. Speaking of I'm assuming you need to get all 9 people across the bridge? I this correct? and what order do they go in. As seen on the playfield from left to right?

If switch 48, located in the back subway behind the backbox and ring is not working reliably, that will occur.

During 2 ball DTR is the only time switch 48 is used. In the meantime, select 1 ball DRT in the settings, until you fix switch 48.

I do own my LOTR (first early version) quite a long time.
It's one of my favorite games although I did play it several times in a casino and
I hated this title ... until I could get a HUO LOTR and started to fight with.
I could cross the bridge just a handful times, its always a great moment if you can achieve that.
My best DTR time is 0:34 but never achieved that again ...
Thats what is making pinball so unique in my lifetime and why I'm addicted in pinball
Just one recommendation: Do never sell a LOTR

Nice! And great score I think. My GC on this pin is about 138m but the funny thing is the very first LOTR I had was much easier to score on. Not sure why the difference but average scores on that pin were at least 50% higher even though progression was no better.

I've only gotten to TABA a few times and only once on a game that I got to DTR also (but failed)

Hope you destroy that soon. Absolutely epic. My DTR champ time is 51 seconds. There are people here that have done it under 30. I had a chance one for a time like that - hit all 4 qualifying shots and locked my first ball in the ring on 5 nearly consecutive shots but then could never knock the first ball through and ended up draining!

Very cool post. I'm still working on getting all of them across the bridge. Just figured out the other day that the character inserts above the flippers light up each time that member crosses. Nice way of keeping track. I was always losing a ball looking up to see which member was crossing. Two Towers super jackpot callout is my favorite of all time. FYI: DTR time 41s, on my first try. Don't know how I did it that fast and don't think I'll ever best it.

I've had mine for about 9 years now and I have done it 3 times. My Destroy the ring record, however, was 43 seconds which I think is fairly awesome :p

Good to see others struggle with this also. Honestly, completing that almost felt like a wizard mode to me. I've completed the other 2 multiballs a couple of times but nothing felt as difficult as getting everyone over that bridge!

finishing FOTR gives a great adrenaline rush for me. Love it! So satisfying when it happens. Which isn't often.

No, it's only 8. (spoiler alert) Gandalf doesn't make it.

Neither. It's in movie order, actually, so it'll look kind of random.
