You

Linked Games

...and then, finally, *finally* after years of owning a pin, you make a recommended fix that really should have been done, well, you know: years ago.

Tonight, I finished modifying my HUO Stern WPT's side drop target banks to be in compliance with Stern's Service Bulletin #165. Having done the right side about a month ago, today I did the longer, more difficult left side, which consistently had at least two drop targets that wouldn't properly reset themselves, basically ever. Now? When I start a game, the drops reset exactly *once*. I don't think I've seen that happen on this game, basically ever.

One caveat: no, I haven't done the center bank of drops for two reasons:
1. They've never had a problem resetting so far, and
2. By far, they will be the *toughest* to do of all of them, especially since the basement it's in doesn't allow the playfield to be raised completely.

So, True Confessions time, kiddies: what have you been honestly *needing* to do to make your pin play correctly, but just didn't have the heart or wherewithal to get it done, because, well, it's good enough, and you're just plain too lazy to make the adjustment/repair?

Not that they are needed, but I purchased 2 sets of mirror blades at TPF at the end of March this year...finally got them installed a month ago. Too freaking long for something so easy to do.

I put off finishing my basement for 15 years so my pins could have a proper place to stay.

When that happens, it'll be a full-scale shopping that goes on.

Too many uninstalled MODS laying around here.

Oldest projects?

Some, I finally got rid off...didnt think Id be around long enough to ever do them all.

But, 3 weeks ago, I finally finished shopping a Tommy....that was with me I think 18 years unopened,
This week, I hope to dust off a 1935 Peo All American Football Pin, and finish that....thats only been waiting 30 years, and a Skill crane around 20 years...

Too long, I think.

At one time, I had a stack of say, 6 playfields. All were intended to go into machines.

They never made it into the machines. After years of aging, I sold them.

Meanwhile, just yesterday some colorDMD kits arrived. I plowed through getting those installed, since I wanted to be sure there were no hidden quality issues. There were none - well done C-DMD guys.

Current mods that I have aging to perfection:
-- CFTBL Retro Snack Bar mod
-- LOTR Palintar illuminated vag mod
-- STTNG -- LEDs for the ships - and replacement ramps - over 5 years
-- New bumper skirts for assorted games (these are approaching 10 years)

I have a room full of parts. I'm sure most of us have hundreds of man hours we think we are going to get to one day - and will not.

My EM has been down for over a year now. Just can't figure it out. Player 2 scores perfectly, player 1.....not so much.
