I very true LOL! It wasn't like I was praying for a pinball machine. I was just thinking about how out of that many people someone sure would know of one and then BAM!

Quoted from KingNine:

Riiight, I can hear it now....

Oh lord, here's five bucks, and I haven't been here since easter, may a pinball machine drop in my lap before I leave today. LOL!

#19 9 years ago

... If you post on pinside bitching that someone stole a machine from you that wasn't yours in the first place.

That's me...sorta...My wife told me in our current house I could only have one...now that we are moving and getting a new (to us) house and will have more space she's saying I can get more. (Now I just need to figure out how to get 'financial approval.')

I know that I have a problem, because I am obsessed with attractive women and if I was at the Playboy Mansion and they had a pinball machine, I would rather play it than to take in the sights. No, not really. I made that up.

#24 9 years ago
Quoted from Schusler:

OR if you're blowing off work to drive 40 miles roundtrip to play pinball.

OR if you're blowing off work to drive 40 miles roundtrip to play pinball in hopes of buying that pin and driving it home afterwards. After setting it up to make sure everything is good, you'll need to put twenty good games on it. Notice twenty good games so that might require fifty total games. That much work is going to require some beer, so go ahead and crack the first one open before you get dehydrated. Hopefully you left work early enough in morning because this is turning into an all day adventure.

#25 9 years ago

... or if you sell several grail Arcade games to acquire that pin in the next town that's been sitting in that guys garage for 10 years, and he finally lets it go

#26 9 years ago

I know I have a problem when I am in the middle of an epic ball and the UPS man is knocking on the door with more pinball parts.

#27 9 years ago

When your boss is giving job instructions and me daydreaming about future titles.

When your computer at work has more bookmarks to pinball related sites than work related sites.

I have been working on a pin to add to my collection for a while (kind of rare find and most won't want it, but that is the sort of crap I have been gravitating towards). Owners of the pin have been very wishywashy on selling.

They decided they want a stand up dart board for their game room to replace the pin. I now have a dart board in my garage and am waiting for them to come over and check it out. I luckily know a guy and he was kind enough to hook me up and agree that if they opt to not take the dart board then he will take it back. I think they will likely take it becuase it is a Galaxy 2 Arachnid and seems to be ~300 under retail so a good deal.

Hope to get things settled this weekend. Will disclose game after it is in my possession.

Good luck!! Smart move.

You know you have a problem when:
When your pinball LED's put out more lumens than the lamps in the room

When you buy a brand new backglass, plastic set, ramps, and playfield for a pinball you don't even own because you fear it might sell out

You just bought a pinball, and 5 minutes after you set it up you're already looking for the next one

Worst I did was 1800 miles, 23hrs, roundtrip none stop (only for gas) to buy a HOU flight sim arcade game. (Landing High Japan) I was temped to do a similar trip for a pin but my wife said no because when I did that other trip with my buddy it was on her day off.

When you own 12 pins;

you can fit 9 in your game room;

one pin is stashed in the back of the Sequoia;

one pin is still at the sellers house and its coming;

and you still pull up the CL pinball ads daily...
