Quoted from Grayman_EM:You know you're getting old when you....remember eating one of those dinners when you were very young. Followed by having a piece of the Chocolate or Banana cream pies!
I remember paying 39 cents for the dinner as they were cheaper than the Swanson ones and like others we didn't have much money back then.
Also when you are old you could party with one of these pizzas I always remember being the one to make them.

We used to like the little round Morton's frozen Macaroni and Cheese. We'd pop a few into the oven on Friday nights. They were pretty good.

Hey it's your birthday!
I remember the Morton's Mac & Cheese and loved those too.
I did not like the pot pies (any flavor) just could not stand them but my brother and sisters loved them.

Me. Me. Me. I loved those Swanson pot pies. Chicken was my favorite. The ones you buy nowadays are more dough than anything else.

Too bad ..didn’t know..I would of shipped off my speacialty brownies to good ol JR
I think there is one on middlebelt off I96. It’s been a few years since I’ve been around there though borders have been closed. The owner is a great guy! I really liked hanging out with him.

Quoted from cdnpinbacon:Question ..at our Mature age.. would you date Amber Heard? ..all day long for me.
Just as long as she did not poop in my bed . But yeah, she is a looker. And maybe an airhead ? Although airheads do have advantages

I think that’s a National Coney Island. Since it’s our culinary specialty, we have a gazillion different types.

What in the hell are you guys talking about?
Coney Island is a type of hot dog concoction (dog with topped with chili, mustard, and onions) created in Detroit but with a NY name. The restaurants/eating joints that feature them are “Coney Island” restaurants, or “Coney Islands.” They are all over the place in the metro Detroit area.

A LOT is attitude. Some is just luck of the draw. Genetics, perhaps.
Tip: Forget about having birthdays. No cards. No cakes. No parties. Just keep on keeping on. And look for another day.
Last year, at the VA Med Center, my escort was leading me down the halls to my destination. He was hobbling along and I was not thinking because I am just slip sliding along---with a skip to my step. I said, " I don't know how old 70 years is supposed to feel like, but I feel great " (And I still have all my hair ).
As my escort was hobbling along, with his bald head, he looked over at me and said, "I'm 56". I felt bad for him. I felt bad for saying what I said.
Physically, I am over Covid now ( I was vaccinated) and I still feel like a million bucks. But I suffer with the brain fog that is being talked about.
Actually, I'll be 70 in August but I feel great.

My family has had Christmas dinner (dad's side of family) at American Coney Island for close to 50 years now. My grandparents always loved it there. There are usually about 30 of us in the annual group photos now. We open our presents and everything there.
After my grandparents passed away, my stepmom thought we should class it up and go someplace nicer for Xmas, so we did that one year. A week later, all of us "kids" (we were probably in our 30s) met up at American for coney's, like always. That was the one and only time we tried anyplace "nicer".
The little girl on my dad's shoulders is my niece -she's also the blonde in the 2nd pic, now a flight attendant and closing in on 30 years old. Though the family is now spread from Michigan to Florida to Colorado to Hawaii, we still try like hell to coordinate our schedules and keep the tradition going, with surprising success. Four generations at one table is pretty cool.

Thanks for the clarification.
I've been around a bit, and never heard of it. Obviously Chicago is known for their hot dogs, and Nathan's Famous in Coney Island, NY.

Wow, and I thought I was an American Coney Island Fan! Your family has me beat hands down!
And your niece has good taste. She’s got chili cheese fries, which I ALWAYS order.

This one gets to my girl friend when we watch movies. I am left handed and always key in to left handed actors. So, first thing I see is that the blonde is a lefty.

Yes, same as her dad -
Quoted from jrpinball:Is Spam getting mushier as the years go by? Years ago, it seemed to be much firmer and meatier. Now it's really soft and mushy. You can cut it up with a plastic knife.

Check the ingredients they are now adding turkey and chicken to it. In the old days... when I was young it was made from pigs, now they add anything to cut the cost and increase the profit.

Sounds like what happened to Coca-Cola in the 80s. And we wound up with Coca-Cola Classic. Now we are back to normal. Today's Coke is old Coke and Classic Coke has disappeared.

No. Coke Classic is the original.

No, Mexican Coke is the original. Made with good old cane sugar. All that other stuff is BS....

I shop at an Asian grocery store and also a Mexican carniceria. Both sell Mexican Coke.
The bottles sold at the Mexican shop are labeled in all white with Spanish language. These Mexican bottles are " retornable ". They are produced for the Mexican market.
The bottles sold at the Asian shop are labeled with red and white U.S. style labeling. It is Mexican Coke made for the U.S. market. These bottles say
" Not returnable". Same style of bottle. Both are made of glass. And both use cane sugar. But the Mexicans recycle them while we fill the landfills.

Old Coke is the original Coca Cola. Old Coke got dumped for New Coke. The public went after Coke management with pitchforks and axes. As a result, Coca Cola Classic was born. With passage of time, New Coke slowly disappeared from the shelves and the "Classic" part of the name sort of just faded away. So, we are back to drinking old Coke, as before. Like New Coke never happened.
