If you collected albums, you'd know!

    ZZ Top.

    Tres Hombres

    #4056 2 years ago

    No it isn't!

You said "album cover", not inside!
I don't have the album. Just took an educated guess.

    #4059 2 years ago

    Come on, JR.....

Inside, outside.....it's still an album cover!

JR makes a point. What you refer to is a "sleeve."

    #4061 2 years ago

    no.
The album cover opens up. the picture is on the inside.
The actual vinyl disc goes in the sleeve.

Now I'm getting hungry looking at that picture.

But you have to give me credit for guessing the band, and I've never even seen the inside of that album before!

    Hey! Look at that-green vinyl.
Reminds me of the red vinyl J Geils band "Bloodshot" album!

    #4064 2 years ago

    It was a good call!

Now go fix that turntable, buy a copy of Tres Hombres and make another plate of tacos.

    Enjoy!!!

    E

The original was the London label. Later was Warner Bros. The green vinyl was a later re-issue.
They did open up, but I think some of the later re-issues did not.

I used to have that album. I do not recall it being an open up style. For sure, I did not have a green record.

    #4066 2 years ago

You know you're old when your ZZ Top Tres Hombres record is black... and the sleeve has the patina of the Declaration of Independence!

    #4067 2 years ago

When you dream of the humber river in the early 70s and how i could swim in my mother's arms and laugh. Now the water is filled with shopping carts and no more crayfish ,salamanders or frogs. The natural barometer of the water systems. What a shame.

When you begin rationalizing that walking the stairs at work is probably good enough exercise for the day.

(It’s run day. It’s cold outside. And I’ve been down stairs three times today already).

Same I refuse to use the elevator at work.

    Quoted from cdnpinbacon:

Same I refuse to use the elevator at work.

Back in the early 1980's I was on a tour of the Masonic home in Minnesota. All the brothers used the stairs to go up one flight. I used the elevator.

Later some of them were giving me crap. It's good exercise. Don't you want to live longer ? I said yes I do want to live longer. And I want my knees to last too.

Some of them already had knee and hip work. Changed their tune.

    LTG : )

    #4076 2 years ago

For me the one at work is the slowest elevator on the planet. I never take it. Don't trust it.

Did somebody say The Seeds? "Includes the hit single ' Pushin' Too Hard ' ". Unfortunately, this was the only song on the album worth listening to.

The original pic kind of has the filename displayed which makes it pretty obvious!

    #4081 2 years ago

Was one of the few bands I got to see in the 60s. I remember the harp player was called Magic Dick. I recall having a good time so they must have put on a decent show.

    and Love Stinks.

    #4082 2 years ago

A little over 41 years ago, this song was getting lots of airplay.

It is as good today as it was then.

They're behind all the boxes of Christmas stuff. I told mama that we're going to rearrange and organize that stuff so that I can get to my records.

I didn't see anything that would give me a clue. Just an educated guess based on the type of spread. Like Tex-Mex.

My girlfriend loves Frogger on the cocktail here. I prefer Juno First and New Rally X on it.

    #4088 2 years ago

I haven’t played this much at all lately. Realized that I have to clean some buttons from probably drink spillage over time. I started w donkey kong, then frogger. Qix is a fave of mine..kinda wish it had asteroid’s..but a 60-1 is good for me

My cocktail is also 60-1, with no asteroids.

I have a 12k game standup, and I usually always play some asteroids on it, along with tempest and pole position 2, but my favorite is River Patrol.

If you have ever owned a boat, or even driven a boat, River Patrol feels pretty real.

I clipped this cartoon out of Westword magazine in 1989 - I'm trying to save it until at least 2026. It still cracks me up after 33 years.

Ronnie Spector has died at 78.

Sidney Poitier, actor, dies at 94

These two are not front page news anymore, but in their day , they were huge.

Sidney Poitier in "To Sir, with Love" was magnificent.
And it taught me the power of one.

Woo hoo! My stepbrother wanted to borrow my bike one day, and traded me BTO Not Fragile to use it!

I remember the cover was pressed, and you could feel the ridges of the gears.

The song "Not Fragile" is HEAVY. I cue that one up in the car on occasion.
