My mom always used Dash. Was also great for washing greasy hands after working on the car.
I also remember these commercials for Drive.

Right again. See, the memory is definitely fading.
Quoted from DennisDodel:When you know what a Tijuana bible is.
Never heard that term before as I go look for Panama Red.
I've been reading this science book, "Everything you wanted to know about the world"...something like that....and it's talking about "as far back as the 70s, tectonic plates were still not accepted/recognized by half the geologists in the United States......
My god, I was drooling over girls in gym class in junior high in the 70s.....

And DNA was still an abstract term.

I had a stack of those years ago. Found them in an estate sale. Pretty risque for the time.
Watched "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" recently and then looked up Eli Wallach. My God we are getting old fast. These Hollywood legends have passed on or are close to doing so.
Quoted from zr11990:What is it
They were X-rated 8 page cartoons based on comic strip characters. Also known as "8 Pagers". They measured about 3"x 3" and had two staples. You can find them on Ebay.
When you hear a Steely Dan song on the radio and think, "this is brilliant, why have I made fun of them my whole life up to now?"

Made fun of them? I thought they were brilliant after hearing their third hit on the radio. Have been a fan since (although Fagen is, and Becker was, extremely weird).

"No static at all..."
Back to "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", the memorable theme song from the movie was re-created by this symphony and is amazing to watch how the unique sounds were made.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:My son asked me to post this...Hes OLD at 22....But said, remember Wacky Packages?

Yes as I owned several series when I was young but the sad thing is I stuck them on things. Have you seen the prices these now command?

My porter reads those things. Or something like that. His are thicker but it is like a comic but it is porn. It’s some nasty stuff. It’s embarrassing when you sell a car and the buyer finds that crap under the seat.

They were from the early 1930's, maybe earlier.

Ok well he does read some sort of pulp comics that are pretty pornographic. I have seen them and they are nasty.
Quoted from Playdium:Watched "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" recently and then looked up Eli Wallach. My God we are getting old fast. These Hollywood legends have passed on or are close to doing so.
Eli Wallach is my Pinside icon. He was a great character actor from the '70s. I do miss lots of the actors from the 70's and 80's.
Quoted from pinzrfun:When you start liking solid states and em's more and more because they're easier to move.......
I have always said technology is the downfall of society. It will get so complicated that you can't move them anymore.

I understand what you are saying as you know your getting old when everybody you watched as a kid is gone.
Just heard also that the guy who wrote "Forest Gump" died also his Forest Gump he pictured more of a John Goodman.
Quoted from DennisDodel:When you know what a Tijuana bible is.
This is a good book on the subject with many complete reprints of the bibles inside. And a couple of the bibles I have. Unfortunately there is no way I could post any of the actual cartoon pages here. Way too graphic.

My mom said to me one time that all of the older actors were dying off. That was in the early 60s

How many years did it take for Elvis sightings to finally go away? Weren't we still looking for him until the early 2000s?

Ok. I saw some of those when I was a kid. You are never the same afterwards
Quoted from cottonm4:My mom said to me one time that all of the older actors were dying off. That was in the early 60s
My mom used to always say, "he's/she's long dead" whenever we watched a TV show or old movie.
I know I'm old because she would have been 100 years old yesterday!
You know you are old when a Supreme Court Justice has just died and you are thinking about the political theater that is about to ensue.
Quoted from cottonm4:How many years did it take for Elvis sightings to finally go away? Weren't we still looking for him until the early 2000s?
Sorry, but this cannot be true. A couple of Thursdays ago I saw him in a White Castle in Chicago.
You know you are old when
You insist the saying is "my bag"
because "my bad" just doesn't make sense.
Quoted from cottonm4:How many years did it take for Elvis sightings to finally go away? Weren't we still looking for him until the early 2000s?
He is still around. I saw him in Vegas not that lone ago.

Oh wow ! You guys are so old that your minds are playing tricks on you
This is a long thread. This may have already been said, but.....
When your fingers hurt too much to push the flipper buttons.
When the multiballs and extra balls wear you down and you have to quit.
When younger players have quicker reactions as you used to have.
Lean into it my friends and just have fun. LOL.
You have to modify your go-to pinball playing stance so as not to strain your shoulders.
Even then, not sure I could make it through a long tournament any more. Almost glad to get a year off.
As you age, it goes from "no pain, no gain" to "no strain, no pain"!
Quoted from cottonm4:You know you are old when a Supreme Court Justice has just died and you are thinking about the political theater that is about to ensue.
CNN couldn’t even wait until her body was cold before turning it into 2020’s next shit show.
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:CNN couldn’t even wait until her body was cold before turning it into 2020’s next shit show.
Don’t go there. Just don’t.
All my friends have always been older than me.
I just never got along or seen eye to eye with anyone my age or younger.
Life grew me up fast and hard.
And I am old because I now get that old Hank Jr song: All my rowdy friends have settled down.
And just like all my older friends, between knee crap and whatever else, I am having to settle down also.
