At first we tried to politely “thanks but no” remove ourselves from the lists but as expected that went nowhere.
Never do this. In the course of trying to be 'polite' you have confirmed that you got that offer and actually read it (ie may be interested). That immediately moves you to the top of the 'prospective suckers' list and now subject to their increased efforts. Better to just ignore and toss them with the rest of your junk mail.
