How DOES stern godzilla play? What's your favorite mode? What about your favorite shot?
Personally I love the multiball that makes a bunch of fart noises.
C'mon, man. Wait for the damn game to come out, first.
Quoted from Eskaybee:2020:
Deadpool
Star Wars
GNR
JP2
Hot Wheels
Here’s my updated fickle list - 3 remain on the list, after owning JP for 6 mos, it’s off the list. HW would stay, but see comment below
Deadpool
Star Wars (premium or LE)
GNR
Game of Thrones
Godzilla (because it’s new shiny and will piss Jorant off, especially if I still have it on my list in 6 mos when this gets bumped again haha).

Sorry! Didn't realize I needed to justify it!
Truth be told, I can actually have at most two actual machines in my home, and with Stern STAR TREK already here, I'm going to be getting a GODZILLA Premium... So at least I'm following through!
What can I say? I'm a huge Godzilla fan... and I have hopes that the game will be as much as it looks! Cheers!
1. Stern Godzilla Premium Jorant
2. Metallica Premium
3. Iron Maiden Premium
4. Octoberfest
5. Twilight Zone
Deadpool Premium
Jurassic Park Stern Premium
Attack From Mars - Chicago Coin Remake
Medieval Madness
Stern Star Wars Premium
Although I can't see myself owning one table in the near future, let alone five, I'd want to get one from each generation of technology ideally, maybe something sorta like this
Early SS - Embryon or Future Spa
Text displays: Black Knight 2000 or Phantom of the Opera, the artwork on both of them is amazing and the games aren't half bad
Early LEDs: TOTAN (the first table I remember playing both on a computer and in real life, and I will always love it)
Modern LEDs: Star Trek (good, fastflowing game with plenty to do)
Screen displays: Total Nuclear Annihilation
Love the topic as I have space for 5 only.
I currently have (all keepers):
Haunted House
Space Shuttle
Wonka
And final two I am considering (but lots of other candidates):
Wizard of Oz
Twilight Zone
Figured I'd update this now that I've played more games
Seeing i'm a fan of diversity if i had to choose at least 5, i'd pick one from every era:
Solid State - Sorcerer (no contest on this one, fun hard game with great sound effects and art)
Alphanumerics - Genesis for Gottlieb, Mousin Around for Bally, Swords of Fury for Williams and Robocop for Data East.
Early DMD (up to about 2000) - Street Fighter II for Gottlieb, The X-Files for Sega/Data East, Medieval Madness for Williams and NBA Fastbreak for Bally.
Modern DMD (up to about 2016) - Lord of the Rings
Screen Displays - Rick & Morty or Guardians of the Galaxy. Maybe Oktoberfest but i've never played it it just looks cool lmao
Godzilla LE
Deadpool LE
Maiden LE
Beatles (I realize this will be a controversial choice but it is a great game for groups and has easy to understand rules for non pinheads)
Stranger Things LE
Taxi - Started my interest in pinball. A game anyone can pick up and play with broad appeal. Just a fun pin.
Whirlwind - The game that reinvigorated my interest in pinball during college. One of my all time favorites. This is my Lawlor machine.
Who Dunnit - Wife likes murder mysteries and Clue. This would be right up her alley.
Indiana Jones: TPA - Enjoy the franchise so the theme is perfect. Deep ruleset. Everyone wants one of these - “If I win the lottery, I’m buying this”.
Fish Tales - I like fishing and it’s a silly, fun take on the sport. Would add it for the right price - maybe a little overrated currently in terms of value for what it brings to the table, IMO.
It is always fun to see how these evolve....
Currently, if I could only have 5 they would be
JP Premium/LE
Godzilla Premium/LE
EHOH
Dialed In (although I could change my mind on this one and just keep TZ instead)
MM
Dialed in is the one I am most likely to drop from the list. TSPP, IJTPA, and TZ are pretty tough to keep off the list.
Been a while since I hopped on this thread. Hmmmm... guess I'm a Stern nerd now!
Godzilla
Maiden
Deadpool
Nine Ball
Led Zeppelin
Quoted from Mizzou0103:Here’s my list. I never thought it would evolve this fast or stay this Stern heavy.
2021
TWD Premium
Jurassic Park Premium
Rick and Morty
Godzilla Premium
Beatles
2020
TWD Premium
Wonka
Beatles
Deadpool Pro
Rick and Morty
2019
TWD Premium
Metallica Premium
TNA
Beatles
Batman 66
I’m looking at your annual picks and ask: you stand by your final pick of Beatles over your previous winners of Met prem or DP pro or Wonka? Is theme the reason? Also, I can’t believe you wouldn’t have 1 JJP in the final list of 5. It gets difficult stuffing 8 pins into a sausage casing that can only stretch to allow 5 pins inside it. Yuck! But you get my point.
I own many top games and last ones I would sell are
Medieval madness
Attack from mars
Godzilla
Deadpool
Jurassic park or Iron Maiden
Cactus canyon maybe a winner not sure yet.
Funny some of the pins you guys pick.
1. JJP POTC. Epic Wide body.
2. ACDC Pro (Faster pin ever) or Premium
3. Avengers Premium or Pro (better flow) Deep Rules and super addictive. Great layout.
4. Deadpool Premium
5. Tron LE
Pins that may make it later after I play them.
Dialed in.
Godzilla Premium. I played the Pro and its brutal. Code and video needs work.
Hobbit.

Theme plays a role, but I like having a variety of layouts and wanted to have one old school layout. That fifth spot is tough. It could have easily been TNA, Iron Maiden, Metallica or Deadpool. Wonka I sold before the most recent code update and I absolutely hated when Wonkatania Mania started or when the magnet mode started. Deadpool is a great game, but I got all the way through it and after that I had no desire to play it more, because to play it for score would have been more about timing Snikt shots and not much more.
I also like keeping my games stock because my family and friends play them and I didn’t want to make them too tough for others.
Star Wars Comic Art Premium
Jurassic Park Premium
Avengers Infinity Quest Pro (Yes, I Actually Prefer the Pro)
Game of Thrones Pro
The Hobbit
Interesting looking at all the preferences as a whole....not a lot of MM or AF in anyone's top 5. Not a lot of GnR, PoTC or AFM either. all top 20 rated machines.
I have my top 4 in my collection already, probably have to trade out my sentimental Xenon for a LOTR or EBDeluxe,or something by Lyman to really have a top 5.
JP Pre (Elwin)
ST Pro (Richie)
TSPP (Balzer Johnson Sullivan)
Beatles (Gomez)
Lyman's best...not sure what that is...
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:I would try to go with machines that played very differently from different eras.
System 11: Pinbot
90s DMD: Star Trek TNG
90s DMD: Attack From Mars (Remake)
Modern Stern with Video: Deadpool
Modern Other Manufacturer: The Hobbit
I believe these would all play very differently and be a whole lot of fun!
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:I'm going to drag this one back from the dead too and change my answers.
1. CGC Attack From Mars Remake
2. Stern Star Trek
3. JJP The Hobbit
4. Bally/Williams The Adam's Family
5. Data East Jurassic Park
It is interesting that when I did that I immediately went to 5 different manufacturers.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:The longer I am around pins the more I crave variety. I'm changing my plans to, a machine from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and an oddball. This can be done without spending like you would for 5 collectors quality machines. For me, that would be:
1980s: Black Knight 2000
1990s: Jurassic Park
2000s: The Simpsons Pinball Party
2010s: The Hobbit
Oddball: Revenge From Mars
Machines from 4 different decades that all play differently and have different manufacturers.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Time to bring this thread back from the dead.
I'd split it up by designer for maximum variety and would go with:
1. Steve Ritchie: Stern Star Trek
2. Brian Eddy: Attack From Mars
3. Scott Danesi: Rick & Morty
4. Keith Elwin: Jurassic Park
5. Pat Lawlor: Funhouse (with honorable mentions to WW, TAF, TZ, and DI).
1. Stern Star Trek: has a sense of urgency that other games just don't have. The artwork is terrible, but the game just plays so fast.
2. Attack From Mars: Just one more game... and this is the one I'd have non-pinhead visitors play. Classic fan layout.
3. Rick & Morty: Never played it, but looks different with quirky different humor. I'd go TNA if this one turns out to be a dud but I have faith in Scott.
4. Jurassic Park: Shoots so different.
5. Funhouse: One of the best original toys and such a unique game.
Years later, I still like variety but would go with the following:
1. Star Trek: The Next Generation: Favorite Pin Of All Time, Great theme, great assets, great designer.
2. Lord of the Rings: Super deep game I'll never beat that is just hard enough to keep me coming back. Perfect theme.
3. Total Nuclear Annihilation: Will never beat. Fast but brutal (owned previously and would like to own again).
4. Jurassic Park Premium: Owned previously and loved. This wins by a hair over Godzilla.
5. Whirlwind: Great designer, great theme, perfect level of difficulty and randomness.
Have owned all but only ST:TNG and LOTR are nailed to the floor. I like variety and changing up pins.
I love questions like this. Especially now, with all of the amazing new machines available it becomes a difficult exercise. To me the ideal collection would be a combination of new innovation and classics.
White Water: First machine I ever purched. It has been with me since 2001 and is going nowhere. Fun, unique, and has the right amount of strategy and challenge for all players.
Wonka LE: The look and feel of this game is so inviting. I have owned it for a year and feel like I am still scratching the surface of it's full potential. I feel like this will be in my collection for a long time.
The Shadow or Congo: Both were in my collection and the two that I regret letting go. I didn't appreciate them enough at the time. Congo is fun, love the callouts, and the volcano shot is so satifying. Shadow is challenging and so much fun when you start hiting the ramps with the diverters. (sorry for cheating and sneaking in a sixth machine).
Medieval Madness: Never owned, but would love to have in my collection. There is a reason this game is always at the top. Simply put, it's fun and can be played by players of all levels.
Big Lebowski: I have not had a ton of time on this machine. But when I have played, it delivers off the charts on the fun meter. Add in the best theme ever, and it would have a permanent spot in my collection.
