    Quoted from dannunz:

Ok guys we are at 122 games in free play. After reviewing the list of people bringing games I have to say I am very disappointed in the local collector community. Only 42 collectors are making up that 122 games. You guys have wanted a show in New England for how many years and now you have one. I know there are at least 300 collectors in the New England area. A show can not be great with out the support of local collectors. So this is it please rent a u-haul, jam one into your SUV or car, get together with a friend. We need more games and this is it time has run out! Thank you to those 42 people you know who you are.

I made a reply on FB but I feel I should re-post here.

I understand the frustration you must feel but please keep in mind there are many people attending who have never seen 100+ machines in one place before and are going to be thrilled to have that many games to play.
Judging by your updates, you appear to be coordinating a great event and are trying to foster an atmosphere that both newbies and old timers will enjoy.
May this be the start of something great.

---In a year or two, I hope to have the space and means for my own machine. I’d like to have a nearby event to haul it to

and to the 42+ folks bringing their games THANK YOU!!!

Yep - I a safety/hazmat guy and sent them a noise level I took during the peak of activity 105db.

    Wow! Thanks for posting this.
I'll be sure to bring some hearing protection for my daughter, if she wants to play in the big room next year.

    Quoted from Taxman:

We should have a novice section at the show. You demonstrate how to break down and setup machines.
9:00 EM - removing heads & keyed harness plugs
10:00 Hinged heads, blanket and strap
    11:00 Drilling a lock
Have a handout with common tools to bring.
1:00 Social game rooming / the value of friends - Now that your hooked invite people. You may need them on your next run.
2:00 Advanced staircase moving - Why an Escalera is cheaper than back surgery
    Buying your next car - Will a pin fit in a . . .

I know you're joking but I would love a "owning a pinball machine 101" type of seminar.
I plan on volunteering next year for set-up and breakdown with learning all I can about the process in mind.

    What's better 19th 20th or 26th 27th of August 2016?
Were thinking of doing a Thursday after 5pm PITT PASS! Check out the show set up and play some pinball! Any interest?

I'm thinking Aug 19 & 20 are perfect. Right in the post 4th - pre Labor Day sweet spot.

When will you start looking for volunteers?

    #1259 3 years ago
    Quoted from dannunz:

One of the first things that's going on the front page is a email news letter sign up.

    Quoted from dannunz:

But we are always looking for volunteers. Is their anything you can do to help the show now?

I'm not quite sure. Between family and work, my time is quite limited right now but things should start to open up closer to the show.
Either way, I'll sign up early, hear what you have in mind and if I can help out, I will.
