Awesome! I'll be there for sure.
I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a room for Friday night they won't be using and would like to sell? Turns out I won't be getting out there until later on Friday than I originally thought and I'd like to stay as long as possible and save the drive back and forth for Saturday. Send a PM if you do.
Quoted from Patofnaud:
Mike, as long as you don't barf, fart or overall foul a room (because 2x of us like that in one room would be too horrid for the maid ) you can crash in mine.
Roger, you're the man. I may take you up on that if I can't book one (or help bail someone out last minute).
My only hesitation is having to hear, in person, how much of a monster I am for considering selling my Hook.
I just got a room thanks to someone's last minute cancellation. According to Kathryn there are two more left. The main hotel is actually booked solid for Friday night and it's very honorable that they are not dissolving the block of rooms to sell at a higher rate, so very close to the event.
Anyone interested in a truly rare machine? I have one of the last machines fully designed and built by JPOP ... A Zizzle PotC
I can bring it to pintastic. Not sure if they'll let me set it up in free play. I will through in a Zidware postcard.
$100 which is what I paid for it? Seems high though, doesn't it....
Show was excellent. Friday was a great day to be there. Excellent work guys!
The highlights for me were playing Multimorphic's P^3 ... A lot. Chewing Gerry's ear off and watching people talk about how "weird" the p3 was before they played it and being drawn in and raving about it, and playing a ton after they finally did play it. Anyone who tells you it isn't real pinball clearly hasn't played it. Having the P3 on the east coast was Awesome.
I also enjoyed a chance to play Heighway's Full Throttle in person. Those who have pre-ordered will likely be very happy. I really don't undersrand how they're making any money at $6k, but that's not my area of expertise anyway.
Local collectors really did step up. The free play area was great. It's always fun seeing the wide range of conditions and prices on games at a show. You can clearly tell when the owner just loves the game and it's a "make me sell" price. It makes me even happier to play those games as it's very generous of the owner to bring it out. Some stellar deals to be had on the floor.
Can't wait until next year
Strangest Instagram border yet...Looks like a Sony camera's lcd screen.
Makes sense since you youngins have probably never seen an actual Polaroid picture. Unless someone is using one ironically.
The two weeks after high schools let out are the busiest on the Cape; not everyone is going to successfully negotiate family travel plans for pinball
August 26, 27 and 28 sound good to me. We are taking about 2015, right ;D
Next year I'm getting off my ass and volunteer, or bring a pin, or both. Hopefully my Buffy will be up to par by then.
You guys rule. Thank you.
