I'll be around Friday mid day. Can bring Strange Science if anyone wants it.
Playfield is nice. Leds, new rubbers and balls. From what I remember all plastics are good. Topper replaced by the aftermarket blue neon. Body colors are still good a couple dings on the side but nothing bad. The lock bar has hand wear on both sides. I can get garage pictures for anyone interested.
Been in the garage since Pintastic and T2 took it's place in the game room. $1650 with a small deposit to bring to the show.

Is anyone bringing any wired playfields from pinball salvages ? Looking for anything solid state that I might not have in my pile . I don't mind if harnesses are cut or if a few parts are missing. LMK if you might have some you are looking to get rid of. I don't know if I'll be there 100% for sure, but if a deal is made, I will be there 100% for sure on Friday.

We may hit Shady Maple on the way home. But if not, any recommendations for good restaurants in the area?

#705 6 years ago

FYI best gate to enter is Gate 4 right by the building where show is

#706 6 years ago

Anyone got a haunted House they are bringing?

Lucky for all there is to do in York is eat. I'll list some joints that are within a few miles of the Fairgrounds, not including chains that are everywhere:

Westgate: Great dive-y joint, pizza, wings, stromboli, etc.
Coomb's Tavern: Go here if you want prime rib
Rooselvelt Inn: Classier establishment, American cuisine. food is real fresh but expect to $$$.
White Rose Bar & Grill: Hot spot for yuppies, the food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Always draws a big crowd. Might want to avoid if Bikes are in town
Lyndon Diner: Typical diner atmosphere, huge huge menu. Makes a mean turkey club.
Fujihana: If you want hibachi

There's a lot out there, if you hop on 30 and go east you'll run into a slew of stuff, and on the east side of town some of my favorites:
Viet Thai: Thai and asian fusion, BYOB place with the wine and liquor store right next door
Mexitaly: Mexican and Italian fusion place, they brew beer on site.
El Serrano: Peruvian and mexican dishes
The Paddock: Best onion rings in town, American cuisine

Also looking for Jurassic Park

Packing the car and I found a Playfield Protector for a Skateball that I got by mistake. I have zero use for it and am willing to pass it along to someone who does. Come and ask for it at my booth.

I'd highly recommend any of these locations as well. Everything is close by and all those locations have very good food. Can't go wrong with any of them. Looking forward to the show tomorrow. Weather looks perfect for the weekend.

I drove over today to pick up and deliver some stuff and realized I didn't think to take a camera (my "dumb" phone is too old to have one). Anyway things are shaping up nicely and it looks like it will be a great show. It is highly unlikely that I'll drive over tomorrow but I might run over Saturday.

Best of luck to everyone with sales! Wish I could be part of the action but as I have been posting for over a month it just didn't seem to be in the cards for this year.

#713 6 years ago

Thanks for all the restaurant suggestions. Sounds great.

Skip, thank you and your son for the purchases you made. Very great seeing you at the show.

DiCarlos has the best pizza in town, correct? That special pizza they make where they put provolone curds on at the end is so damn good!

#717 6 years ago

I noticed a couple of people selling them. The guy in the vendor spot next to the bathroom had several including an F-14.

I saw a haunted house setting beside the front door for sale. Tonight.

Was that your Lost World with the aftermarket backglass?

Aw man, I would be so tempted on several of those project pins if I was there.

If anyone wants to get those Allied Leisure games running, there is a bunch of info on pinwiki now for them.

Does anyone at the show have a Williams Phoenix cabinet with decent paint that looks respectable and is in good shape? It can be stripped of the parts they are not needed. Need the head and cabinet. Let me know. Thanks.

Definitely looking forward to this year - I've been going for the past 5, and each year seems to get better. It will be interesting (and perhaps a little overwhelming!) to see the new building that is holding it this year.

Hopefully nothing burns down like it did Friday last year!

#736 6 years ago

Yes, I haven't been satisfied with the options available for that machine or Raven so, I am working with a print shop to create those, still a work in progress. I am set up at the front door and am taking orders for both translites.
