Back around 1970, my friend's parents sold their ocean front Newport Beach bungalow so they could buy a bowling alley that was for sale in Needles.

In the end they ended up with a pool table and pinball machine from that bowling alley in their living room for all their efforts. lol.

I could sell my house and live in that place. Ultimate man cave with good fishing and snowboarding nearby.

It would be like my own private Idaho.

I did play it and I think it was a King Kool, but it didn't seem very cool even then.

That's how I'm gonna pay the electric bill.

It's kinda far is my only gripe.

It's BFE and nobody in their right mind wants to live there. Or commute there for work. And where there's no water, there's no money. But yeah, lovely investment opportunity. You'd be better off with that bowling alley in Idaho I think.

Kinda far was kinda a joke when you travel half way around the world to visit the place and I'm just too lazy to get on the freeway.

When I was too cheap to buy a wetsuit, I'd go out there in my trunks only this time of year. The key is to ease yourself into the water slowly, especially when the water is passing your mid section.

Thank goodness they invented the wetsuit is all I can say. Trunks are for July- September.

San Diego is the self proclaimed "World's finest city".

Whenever down there I always liked to eat at Anthony's and get a fine seafood dinner. Haven't eaten there in a long time though.

You will be able to say you ate at Anthony's Seafood Grotto and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Yeah well, you got to eat at Me N Eds. We had one down the street and now it's a Round Table which is actually pretty good.

I bet the only thing missing there is the cigarette machine with the sign that said "Ye Olde Fags" .
