I would recommend the one I shared with Nimble - the “ultimate” with everything, with extra crispy base.

Don’t forget the “extra sauce” RD!
Only then will you achieve Me-N-Ed’s pizza bliss!

Glad you and the rest of the family could make it out for INDISC and congrats to Danni for taking home the Women’s title!
As always, your travel threads are some of my favorite on Pinside and I’m glad I can help you find some tasty; sometimes forgotten, places to eat along the way.

Have a safe trip back to “The Othaaahhh Siiiiiiide!”

Yes, looking forward to the next one! Come on to Ohio and ride the world's largest collection of rollercoasters (Kings Island and Cedar Point).

Went to Cedar Point in 2006. Drove from Chicago to Wisconsin Dells to Cedar Point to Pittsburgh (kennywood) to DC to NYC. That was our first “odyssey” but alas, that was pre Pinside.

I do have some cute pics of 4yr old Danni sitting on a recessed store window stuffing her face with donuts.

    “Otherrrrr siddddddeeeee”

Just arrived in Fiji, a two hour layover before we head to Auckland.

I would usually fly (and recommend) Air New Zealand ... winner of the best airline in the world! ... but the Fiji Airlines $600 USD return flights to LAX at Xmas time was pretty hard to go past ...

Takes a few hours longer, but saved $1500. That almost covers the INDISC entries haha

They were the first ones to do funky safety videos. I’ve seen them on a few other airlines now. Qantas had a go at one, but being Australian of course it was nowhere as good.

Air NZ make a new one every few months.

They also have by far the best inflight entertainment I’ve seen on any airline. Probably 100 movies to choose from, 50 TV series and 100 albums to listen to. Last time I was on there, I watched Superfly from 1970. Funky!

Shit! They let anyone into LAX these days!
    Dodgy Finnish people!

After learning you guys had a flight that departed like an hour(?) from ours, from the gate next to ours, we were so sure we'd run into you again the minute we got off the plane at LHR.

Instead we run into two other Finnish pinheads there, who were there to check out Stern's offerings at EAG expo.

    Does it happen every year?

2017 attendance to INDISC was 120
2018 attendance to INDISC was 700
Every attendees gets opportunity to register and play (2 free) in the tournament.
You can do the math, that's a huge growth factor in one year.
INDISC is really only a pinball tournament but public is welcome and this year we turned all 500+ pins on.

INDISC shouldn't be confused with Arcade Expo (March) and Pinball Madness (October). These are our three events and the three times we're open tot he public. AE and Pinball Madness are both larger parties with all 1100+ machines on (free play).

Let me know if anyone ever have any questions about the Museum of Pinball, a non-profit 100% volunteer pinball and video game museum.

Chuck, thanks for turning on all of the pins for us! I would like to try a tournament some day (have never been in one) but it turned out that I could only make it over on Sunday this time around, so it was too late at that point. But still, being able to go to the museum on Sunday and play all the pins - THAT NEVER GETS OLD!!!! Thank you!!

Tonight we went to the Harbor Town Pub for the San Diego League Meet.
    Wow! Tough competition!
7 machines there, all new Sterns except No Fear and a Stellar Wars. All machines in nice order and playing very fast. IFPA 4 Strikes tournament.
I was going along very nicely until bang bang lost the last couple in a row. F**king Star Wars ... god bless it, but any game that goes Launch, drain, ball save, drain 3x in a row can go get *******!!
Got some good games on the other titles.
Good crew there. I ended up 4th and got $20. Woooh! Danni got 6th and got $0. Haha
Good venue, with good pub food, cheap prices too. Hit it up if you’re in town! League night every Tuesday from 7.

The family and I had happened to hit this pub for some great food this summer, I was happy to have found this place with great pins to boot. My wife didn’t believe I found the pinball games by accident lol. I concur and highly recommend this place to all Pinsider if your in the area! The fried artichoke tacos were to die for!

Just having the second of the beers Cary from Monterey gave me at INDISC.

“Kettle sour ale” - brewed with coconut, orange, pineapple, lactose (!) and a dash of nutmeg!” WTF!

Not bad - quite weird tasting, almost like a radler but with a sour punch in the face. Lol. Always good to try something different!

    Thanks Cary!
