There are SO many great games out there don't you want to try as many as possible? 5 plays on location doesn't cut it, you need 30, 50, 100 plays to really get to know a pin. Even Gilligan's Island (worst excuse for a pin ever IMHO) was great fun for 50 plays. And if you are in/close to a big city when you bore of one there is always another pinhead around that wants to give it a try. Pins are EASY to move provided they are 100% functional and priced at market value.

What I have found is that I haven't ever really missed a game anywhere near as much as I thought I would, the new one in it's place has a way of soothing that pain. Addam's Family was my first love, had it for 5 years, thought I would never sell it. 3 years later and I don't regret it for a second.

I say do it...I even think the value is about right (around here, STTNG's don't move very quickly above the low $2k level).

Speaking strictly dollars and sense, here on Pinside it's coming up with STTNG at a $400 premium. However over on bostonpinball the f14/FT pair come in at a $200 advantage. I really think this is one that is going to depend on demand for STTNG in your area. Around here they sit forever anything higher than low $2k but it sounds like that isn't the case everywhere...
