Thanks for the tour of the south island of NZ.

Curious if over the years if you have ever seen any of NZ's largest trees?
Would the largest trees be in the northern half of the north island?
How about the oldest trees in NZ, would they be in remote parts of south island?
Would you say there is still large areas of virgin old growth forests in NZ, or has most forests been logged at some point over the past 250 years?

    Hi rd,

Saw this on The Vintage News on Facebook.
Shipping Ford Model T's to NZ back in the day.
Just had to mount the wheels, set up the windscreen and hood, and add gas.

The wooden shipping crates were valuable, and got re-used for a variety of purposes.

I was probably about to fall asleep when I posted last night, and didn't properly attach the pic.
So I just edited my post no. 202 above to now include the crated Model T pic. Sorry, my bad.

Further to Darcy's post, the info beside the pic from Vintage News site I believe did mention something about many crated Model T's going to NZ came from or though Canada.

Seems like pretty ambitious plans by NZ to plant a huge amount of trees.
