I haven’t been to Tijuana in about 15 years but from your pics you posted, it hasn’t changed a bit. Used to enjoy going with college buddies, but all the murders scared the tourists away and it became a ghost town.
Did you get a good whiff of raw sewage as you crossed over the channel?

    Quoted from rotordave:

Not this time - definitely did last time though!
Was I right in remembering that Channel was not concrete 23 years ago?
    rd

It was concrete, but it was covered with so much silt and foliage growing out of the silt, that you could easily think it wasn’t. They cleaned it out pretty good it looks like.

    Quoted from Aurich:

I'm coming out to Banning on Saturday, so I'll find you!

Man, I really want to make it out there, but I don't think I'll be able to swing it. Good luck in the tournament RD and family.

Do they not have 220 grit sandpaper in New Zealand or is it just prohibitively expensive?

    #311 5 years ago
    Quoted from rotordave:

Haha! I had to get a couple of your wacky imperial tools at Harbor Frieght, and some other bargains caught my eye ... that paper was damn cheap
    rd

Just a warning, if you're not familiar with Harbor Freight, the stuff they sell is really cheap. And I don't mean just in price. Expect any tools you buy there to break soon after purchase. You're probably good with sandpaper though. Just be careful polishing your Dolphin, you don't want to strip the paint off.

    Hey Dave,

A British cousin of mine is vacationing in New Zealand and he asked me if I knew anyone he could crash with. I mentioned your name and he looked you up. He's planning on stopping by. Here is a picture of him and his family.
