For BOTH!?! Wow, wish I could find some deals like that!

Yessir.
There is considerable cost required for parts and upgrades, but I certainly have no complaints about the starting price!

What needs fixing/replaced?

The ST:TNG is a question mark. Fires and lights up fine but no DMD. I THINK it's the DMD driver board, but I won't know until the machines are delivered and I can properly test it. It also needs the DMD front plate, and there is some battery leakage so I'm not sure how much board damage needs fixing/replacing. Then the usual teardown, deep clean, plastics, rubbers, Cliffy's, LEDs, ColorDMD (maybe), possibly cabinet work, and various small parts and surprises that I'm sure will crop up.
The TZ just needs to be torn down and deep cleaned, plastics, rubbers, Cliffy's, and LEDs. Maybe some cabinet work depending on how daring I get. Then a few popular and tasteful mods. Lastly, the playfield is in amazing shape but I'll probably remove the factory mylar just for aesthetics. It's really in quite amazing shape to begin with though.
Sorry for the garbage pictures but I was short on time tonight and the phone in bad lighting had to suffice. Just got them home and in the room where I'll work on them.
The STTNG was a big question mark until I swapped the DMD board in from the TZ. Everything was peachy after that. The only error it reported on the self test was "Time and Date not set".
The TZ was in better shape than I even remembered. Almost NO scoop wear at all.
Both machines have some cosmetically-challenged areas, but nothing a little persistence and vision can't fix.
Happy day!
I should also point out that these pickups would not have happened without a very generous partner (Financial partner. I have a wife. Not that there's anything wrong with that...) that allowed me to pursue this deal without question.
Cheers to him!
