If you're planning a trip to the Intermountain West, or to Yellowstone specifically, it's worth your time to stop in Cody, also known as the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park. Not only is Cody an alright town, we also have a great selection of pins thanks to a local operator who literally does it for the love of pinball.
The operator maintains two main locations: Cody Craft Brewery in Cody, and The Red Zone in Powell (about 25 minutes up the road). Between the two locations there are 16 pins available with an additional two in a local pizza parlor. The games are really well-maintained and the operator is pretty quick to fix things if something comes up. If you're around during the day time you usually have the place to yourself.
Cody Craft Brewery features some really good craft beers and now offers food: think pizzas, burgers, calzones, wings, etc. Laid back vibe, bright, and very welcoming. Red Zone is more of a 'large bar' in a small town feel - $2 domestics and standard bar food. All the pins are off in the back a bit away from the busyness of the bar.
As someone who is working towards owning my first home pin, it's a dream to have this many titles, all in good working order, available to play. I don't own these games and the operator hasn't asked me to make this post but I hope a few people see this, stop in, and have a good time.
tldr; if you find yourself planning a trip to Yellowstone or need another reason to, stop into Cody to stretch your legs, and flip some bats!
