Can someone give me advice on how to get new yellow bumpers on the posts for a space shuttle? I cannot for the life of me get the yellow bumpers on the posts. The hole on the bumper has to go over a flange on the post that is much bigger than the hole in the bumper.

Push hard. Maybe a tiny touch of grease on the post and warm the rubber with a hair dryer.

Still no luck. Any other suggestions? My guess orginals were put in with a machine that stretched the rubber.

Put the post in a vise and use some soap and water on the rubber and push hard. They will go on. Worked for me without too much hassle.

Okay got it to work by taking a drill and opening the hole so I could get the post started.

I just did these not long ago... I soaked them on boiling water (the yellow rubber)... then slipped them on. They get softer and expand a bit when hot
