Please note all remaining tournament tickets for the YEGPIN Pinball and Arcade Expo will go offline on June 1, 2023 at 10:00PM. For those that are on the waiting list for Combo tickets you will stay on that wait list up to the event and will be contacted if any openings happen. 39 Hardcore tickets, 31 Women’s tickets remain as of today, for those on the waitlist we will not convert any of these tickets to Combo tickets so if you want into the event you must purchase a Hardcore Ticket or wait and see if a Combo ticket magically opens up in the next two months.

After June 1st we will be announcing the final prize pools, the 20 banks for Match Play Championship, the 8 Banks for Women, the 9 Machines for the Pro Pinball Championship and the 15 Machines for the Knockout Cancer Pinball Tournament (Classics).

Can’t wait should be lots of fun get ready to collect those coins for perfect rounds we are almost there!!!

I'm curious about buying tickets online or at the door. I see prices go up after June 1; just wondering if buying entry at the door will have any fees attached, as buying early you get hit with Eventbrite fees.

    Any advice appreciated

    #53 11 months ago

It is slightly cheaper to buy them on Eventbrite, we did that on purpose to incentivize people to purchase early. When you are buying a weekend pass or day pass there isn't a significant difference a slight saving for the pre-buy.

4 Day Pass: Presale: $97.18, At Door $100
    Thursday / Friday : Presale $22.63, At Door $25
    Saturday / Sunday: $27.96, At Door: $30

    Hope that helps!!!

That's the math I came up with, just wasn't sure if I was clicking something wrong.

I really want to volunteer, but I don't think I'd meet the minimum considering my short trip.

Will likely only attend the show sat/sun

Can't wait to finally put faces to names of all the Westerners!

With the three shift minimum to access the rewards I would say it would be difficult to volunteer as you miss out on a lot of the show since you are only there for two days.

Grew up in Methbridge. Live a block away from the place where I was born. It's like I'm living in medieval times, aside from the meth of course.

Lethbridge was a fantastic place to play pinball and arcade games back in the 90's. Rainbow Recreation was our favorite place to hang.
We played Adams Family for so many hours when it first landed there. So much time spent playing pinball when I probably should have been studying...

For people in the area Tuesday, July 18th. Death Save Pinball Calgary (DSP) will be doing a YEGPIN Warm-up Fair Strike tourney at The Hidden Spot in Calgary. It will also be a launch party for FF.
There will be a FB event posted once approved by IFPA. https://www.facebook.com/deathsavepinball

Are the waitlist people getting contacted to buy Hardcore before June 1st. Love to see them all in and make the event even bigger

    #64 11 months ago

Yes, all waitlist Combo will get the option to purchase a Hardcore pass after the date, they also have the option to show up for registration at 9:30am to see if anyone didn’t show up to claim a spot.

A major update on pinball and arcade machines that will be at YEGPIN Pinball and Arcade Expo is now up on our website. Many thanks to the vendors and collector community that continues to support this show year after year. We have the best tournament lineup I have ever seen, only inferior to Pinburgh itself, and our Free Play area is also top notch with Nitro Pinball bringing almost every new game out there. The show has come a long way from the initial 75 machines we had at the entire event. Thanks again for all your support!!!

We are usually looking for people to help with score entry for the knockout and pro tournaments. If you find yourself with some spare time to help out reach out to one of the volunteers in that area or at the tournament desk.

The final poster is out for the event that includes all of our sponsors on it...

All of the Combo Tournament tickets are sold out however, you can put yourself on a waitlist and show up on July 20, 2023 at 9:30am and if any of the participates don't check in we will issue a Combo Pass to you based on the order of the waitlist, as well you will also have the option to purchase a Hardcore Pass as long as we have room in the tournament at that time.

happy to have you visit !

How to make arriving in Edmonton sound disgusting without mentioning poverty, pollution or the Oilers...

    #74 10 months ago

Just make sure you take your time in the airport before you enter the city proper, warm the oven you know. A little airport foreplay will go a long way! If you're driving, make sure you use protection, Edmonton is a freak in the streets.

So now that the time is almost here........

What Canadian beers should I be stocking my hotel fridge with?

I'm talking Canadian Classics, I'm talking local micro-brews, heck I'll even try some of yours if you're a home brewer!

I've spent limited time in Canada so I don't have much experience besides the Mooseheads and Molsons we snuck from our parents stashes in the 80's....

    Please educate me.

Can't wait to shoot pins and frolic with you all...

I'd prefer a virgin rum and coke.

If you like IPAs, try to find cutthroat by tree brewing. I'm not a big hops guy, but damn their beer is fucking amazing. I used to brew my own, so I have a pretty good palate.
