XPinPinball is pleased to announce the release of two new products:

XP-GTLB-SYS1 a new design for an old Gotlieb System 1 Power Supply
    http://www.xpinpinball.com/shop/product/xp-gtlb-sys1

XP-GTLB-SYS80 a new design for an old Gotlieb System 80 Power Supply
    http://www.xpinpinball.com/shop/product/xp-gtlb-sys80

Both of these designs utilize a highly efficient (~92%) 5V DC-DC switching circuit and a re-engineered +60V circuit.

They will be available at the Chicago Expo for purchase and currently they are in stock on the www.xpinpinball.com website.

Congratulations on releasing another needed product - you're saving the classics, one piece at a time! Enjoyed talking with you at York; have fun at Expo.

Thanks for supporting the early solid state Gottliebs.

Just a question - how did you choose to price your product higher than the competition? (RD)

    Quoted from iwantansi:

how did you choose to price your product higher than the competition? (RD)

Pricing a product is always a challenge. With anything that is developed there are always costs. RD and I have to very different design and production methods. I can say that each voltage that is provided by my power supplies is individually verified under reasonable loads, to verify that they have been assembled correctly. All production units go through 100% functional testing in this manner. I trust my CM to test and I pay them for it. If a unit gets out and it fails in the machine at the time of install, I have enough confidence in what is produced that I am in a position to assist the installer in troubleshooting root cause.

Quality has a price tag. I decided years ago that I wouldn't compete on price with RD but would focus on quality and value add as differentiators. I would like to think my record for support and product quality speaks for itself.
