I was really hoping someone from the "white powder coating" thread would put some of these on and see how they look on the white ramp.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to get real good pics but here's a few. At first the white ramp seemed a little much, really white, didn't sparkle much installed at all. But it's REALLY grown on me, I like it a lot now. Looks very good to me. People can say ice isn't white, but ice isn't blue and metal colored either... it looks different, and nice. I think if one was to do it maybe a textured finish, or dulled down white might be a bit better.

I dig it, I can't wait to install mine. Do you think a hidden very light blue led to light up the icicles would benefit the look. The custom paint job on Wolverine and Magneto looks awesome too. Kudos again.

I do like the icicles on the white much better than the plain white, but I'm still not lovin' it. I'm not really sure why...maybe it is because the white stands out as a big change from most of the games blue that is everywhere.

That being said, I'm sure I would get used to it, as you have said that it grew on you and it is far from bad.

muttonboy, I just saw your second set of pictures. I hadn't thought of icicles on the plastic part of the ramp. Did you just put them on the front? The pic is a bit blurry.

Yup, just put em on the front to a little behind Magneto's shoulder where you can't see them stop. It would be nice to wrap them around the back but I didn't want to play with bending them that much.

I thought I might try to put the original ramp decals back on at some point, but I do like it quite a bit the way it is now. It is quite a shocking change at first. I noticed when I was outside today, the bright white and all the icicles look very much like my roof right now lol.

I didn't post pics before because these pics are crap and I haven't had a chance to take better ones. Been concentrating on LOTR mods and tweaking STTNG lately. I need to take better pics it looks really good right now with the speaker lights, figures, ramp and icicles, gf painted Wolvie and Magneto and they look awesome. If the picture wasn't crap you could see the X in the apron lights. Pink flasher and bulbs in the pop bumpers, etc etc.

XMEN just bugs the shit out of me every time I play it so I ignore it. It looks so sweet and I love the way it plays and the shots, but every time I think I'll give it one more chance it pukes all over me and I end up pissed off.

All they really have to do is make it not infuriating to play and it will be a keeper for me, its a dream theme and everything else is done right.

I think I'll try the icicles on the front and back of that ramp area before it gets to the moving part. I got 2 packs in the ebay auction I won...I was going to sell them but now I think I will keep them and give that a try.
