-Every 2-3 full lane completions will light up Villain at the scoop
-shooting the BlackBird scoop when it is NOT lit for Villain or mystery will spot you one lane
-qualifying for either HFC or BH villain multiballs by hitting their respective target about 10 times will light villain at the scoop automatically. With the banks completed (the HFC and BH inserts will be lit solid) and as long as you HAVEN'T played their respective multiball mode(s), hitting any target of the completed back will automatically light villain at the scoop if it is not already available.
The HFC and BH villain "shortcut" is pretty crucial to breaking through the villain modes efficiently. Just ALWAYS save your villain multiball "cashouts" for your last ball so that you can take advantage of the villain light shortcut.
Also, BH multiball, as it is currently, is WAY more of a risk/reward mode than HFC is. For. Start of mode to the final SJP, BH it worth just about 15mil (14.9 to be exact) total, whereas HFC is worth just over 9mil (9.3 to be exact) total. Plus BH multiball is slightly "easier" to progress through thanks to the BH targets dealing damage to the villains. So if you can only cash out one, always go for BH, just like how Sentinels is the "safest" villain mode for risk vs. reward, but Shadow King can be worth mega points if you're confident with your Xavier shot accuracy and you finish him on the first try. Sentinels can be roughly 10mil at best case scenario when finished with 12 shots needed, but Showdow King, if beaten on first attempt, is only 7 shots and is worth 15mil. So the shot to point ratio for Shadow King is unmatched in any other non-wizard mode, but the risk is higher because if you fail to beat him first try, you lose the bonus millions on the SJP.
Fantastic game if you actually give it a chance to break down the scoring.
